Darling readers,
Get your tea steeping and your petit fours prepped because we've got some major tutu news coming your way!
Remember that age-old debate? The one that keeps society perpetually polarized β you know, the age-old conundrum of βTo tutu or not to tutu?β It's like trying to decide between a perfectly piped latte art swan and a macaroon with just the right amount of ganache. You simply cannot go wrong, right?! Well, I'm here to tell you, darlings, that the tutu debate has reached new heights, and I mean it literally.
Last night, the heavens aligned, the planets aligned, the moon aligned β or something like that β anyway, I just woke up to this breaking news. Imagine my surprise! A ballet star, yes, a ballerina! was spotted by paparazzi on the street! But not in any old attire, oh no darling, this ballerina, let's just say she knows a thing or two about style, was spotted β gasp! - in full ballet regalia! She was tutu-ing down the high street, in a classic tutu, a perfect bun, the ballet shoes that, well, let's just say you've never seen ballet footwear look so sleek. She was looking divine!
Now, darling, before you grab your silk scarf and head to the nearest dance studio, it is crucial that we keep in mind a few crucial points:
Firstly, this ballerina in her full regalia - how chic! - was seen tutu-ing on the high street at, wait for it, 6am in the morning! Did she not get her sleep, darling, it seems so! Anyway, perhaps it was a "practice in the park" day. What I would do for an espresso and a ballet studio to myself first thing in the morning! So elegant, I simply adore the thought!
Secondly, the paparazzi did get a very sharp look from the ballerina when she realised she was being snapped. That face, oh darling, it was daggers! The 'Don't-You-Dare' expression was a masterpiece! I am thrilled to see that a little celebrity still doesn't go to the head of a ballet star, how fabulous, no pretentions! They still live 'the life, not the limelight!' Oh darling, they're still living 'the art!
But the story gets even better, and this part, I believe, you darlings will really enjoy: The ballerina, yes darling the one who tutu'd at dawn, then, imagine it - as the paparazzi continued to try and snap, snap, snap their way to getting a good picture - she simply stopped, gave a small, well slight, and well-timed, yet dramatic, "tut!" and with a delicate wave of her hands she simply glided away with a speed I'd only previously thought was possible in the professional world of a corps de ballet dancer! Oh the grace, the elegance, the fluidity! Simply magnificent darling! It was poetry in motion! I truly adore how a ballet star - you can imagine it was something truly inspiring, even though this must have felt awkward in the moment, they don't skip a beat! And I am certainly not going to skip over the sheer artistic prowess of this move!
Oh darlings! What do these developments mean for us, the loyal readers, you, who adore the elegant world of the ballet as much as I do?! Perhaps this is a sign that a new fashion trend is upon us! It's an undeniable sign! Maybe 'tutu' will come back in fashion! Who would have thought! I have my eye on that pink tulle tutu! I am already working on the matching look! I just hope my hair dresser has enough time to make my bun just so! I think this is certainly a good time to learn some new moves! You simply have to get inspired! Let me know darling, if youβre bold enough to start wearing the tutus in your everyday attire! Please keep me posted on your dance-worthy wardrobe choices! After all darling, if a ballerina can wear a tutu at 6am on a Monday morning, what's to stop us, I say? Absolutely nothing!
