Hello my lovely tutu-wearers! Itās Saturday again, and you know what that means - time for a new #PinkTutuBlogParis post! This week, I'm writing to you from the most romantic city in the world, Paris!
As you know, I love nothing more than travelling, and especially by train. This time, the Eurostar took me through the lush green English countryside, straight to the heart of France. It's a journey I never tire of. There's just something magical about gliding through the changing scenery, and the anticipation building as you know you're approaching Paris.
First Impressions: Pink Perfection
Letās just say, Paris is exactly what I expected. Elegant, beautiful, and utterly enchanting! And let's not forget the shopping - I already feel a serious tutu-filled wardrobe expansion coming on. Iām obsessed with all the cute little boutiques on the side streets. Even the air here seems infused with pink ā itās a truly wonderful sensation.
My arrival was pure Parisian bliss. I stepped out of the Gare du Nord, right into a street brimming with Parisian charm ā cobblestone streets, colourful buildings, and the aroma of freshly baked bread and coffee. The sun was shining, and the locals were buzzing about, chic and stylish, of course. This is a city that lives and breathes fashion, and it's contagious.
I quickly found myself in a charming cafe with a cafe au lait and a croissant - the perfect French way to start the day! It was so lovely just people-watching, taking in all the vibrant street scenes. I noticed that everyone, even the Parisian pigeons, seemed to have an air of nonchalant chic - what I love about the French style!
Finding My Tutu Paradise:
After a bit of sightseeing, I ventured to the heart of my pink dream - the famous Galeries Lafayette! I just knew this would be my tutu-shopping wonderland, and it certainly didnāt disappoint. This department store is everything a pink-loving ballerina could want! It's a veritable treasure trove of frills, lace, and tulle! My heart did a little skip when I saw a pink tutu skirt display ā it was the colour of bubblegum and cloud dreams. I could just picture myself twirling around the Champs-Elysees, radiating the magic of the City of Lights.
Ballet Bliss in the City of Lights:
I couldnāt come to Paris without seeing a ballet show! Tonight Iām going to the beautiful Palais Garnier, home to the Paris Opera Ballet, to see āGiselleā. Iām so excited, my tutu is almost jumping out of its suitcase. I love how Parisian ballet is all about the precision and finesse, itās almost magical! It's amazing to witness their passion and dedication to their art.
Speaking of my tutu, I think it's time for a bit of Parisian street dance inspiration! After my shopping trip and cafƩ stop, I found myself spontaneously joining in on some public street ballet! You see, in Paris, I feel more free than ever to be myself - the pink tutu-wearing, twirling ballerina! I'm planning to practice my pirouettes outside the Eiffel Tower, which I know will make a gorgeous pink picture, so stay tuned!
Eating, Drinking, and Living the Parisian Life:
When you talk about Paris, it's all about the ambiance, the atmosphere - living a little! Thereās just something about this city that makes you feel carefree and alive. I'm all about embracing the Parisian joie de vivre and soaking in every delicious moment. Whether itās indulging in a gourmet French meal in a chic bistro, or just having a glass of rosĆ© on a charming terrace, the city makes you feel alive. And, of course, there are the pastry shops! I have to try all the different macarons in every color!
