Prague, darling, Prague! šŸ©°šŸ’–

Post number 1266! Welcome back to Pink Tutu! It’s Wednesday, and that means another exciting installment of my weekly Prague adventures! Buckle up buttercups, this week’s a corker!

If you’ve missed me, you can find me on www.pink-tutu.com, where I post every Wednesday – my day for dreaming in pink, of course!

Speaking of dreaming, I’m in a fairytale right now. Prague, my dears, is like a storybook brought to life! The cobblestone streets, the ornate architecture, and the delicious pastries…it’s just divine! It feels like I’ve stepped onto a grand stage, and I’m the leading lady in a whirlwind of culture and fashion.

And who better to explore a city as charming as this than a pink tutu-wearing ballerina? Let's get this fabulous adventure going!

From Derbyshire to Prague – With a Twist (of Tutu, Naturally!)

Let’s be honest, dear readers. It all started with a yearning for a change. Derbyshire is lovely, but even the greenest countryside can get a bit... well, beige. I yearned for vibrancy, for adventure, for… well, a healthy dose of pink, if we're being truthful!

And where else could I find that magic than in the captivating city of Prague?

You’ll never guess how I got here. It wouldn’t be a proper Pink Tutu story without a little bit of magic. Picture this: a full moon, a shimmering pond, and... a very willing pony. Yes, you heard that right. I took the scenic route to Prague, courtesy of my dear friend Henrietta, a gorgeous black and white pony with a knack for long journeys and a penchant for pink ribbon (she really is the ultimate fashionista!)

The Journey is the Destination… with a Tutu!

The train journey itself was pure escapism. Every carriage seemed like a set for a different ballet – one moment I was pirouetting through a French countryside scene, the next I was performing a graceful arabesque as I gazed out at the breathtaking mountain ranges.

And of course, I wouldn’t dare venture into Prague without a showstopping tutu, now would I? The piĆØce de rĆ©sistance was a confection in the most breathtaking shade of millennial pink. It twirled with the train as we rolled along, a delicate pink cloud against the backdrop of Europe.

The beauty of it all? Each performance at the end of a ballet tour fuels these extraordinary adventures. Nothing is quite like the thrill of performing, feeling the energy of the crowd, and then transforming into a pink-tutu-wearing explorer just a few hours later.

Pink Tutus and Prague… It's a Love Story!

Prague itself has welcomed me with open arms…and lots of pink! The city is bursting with vibrant colours and whimsical architecture that speaks to my fashion-loving heart. From the Baroque artistry of the Charles Bridge to the whimsical fairytale houses of Old Town Square, it's truly a feast for the eyes.

And speaking of feasts, I've discovered a delightful bakery right around the corner from my charming little Airbnb, the ā€œPink Pastry Shop.ā€ Don’t let the name fool you - they offer a symphony of colours! Think cherry Ć©clairs the size of my hand, rainbow macarons, and the most glorious rose-coloured Ć©clairs – an absolute dream come true.

I’m savouring every second of it. I even went shopping at an adorable boutique on a charming little street, and you guessed it, they had the most incredible pink bow-tied hair ribbon that’s now become a staple for my Prague adventures.

The Dance of the Arts

Of course, no trip to Prague is complete without experiencing its renowned artistic scene, so this week’s schedule is packed with cultural delights! Tonight, I’m off to a performance of Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake" at the historic Estates Theatre. Imagine! To be back in a theatre space, surrounded by music and passion, under the magical lights! I can’t wait to be mesmerized by the dancers and the intricate choreography, and to witness the history swirling around me in this beautiful space.

Oh! I almost forgot to tell you about something incredibly special happening tomorrow – the "Pink Tutu Festival!" This wonderful street performance art extravaganza, just around the corner from the Charles Bridge, will be filled with everything I love – music, fashion, dancing, and, yes, even tutus galore!

Tutus Everywhere You Look

And let’s be honest, there’s something utterly enchanting about watching other dancers, too. You know me and my tutus! It’s impossible for me to resist the call of the dance world – even if I'm just watching the choreography on a street corner in a quaint and captivating city.

I’ll be bringing the pink-tutu power to the festival and getting everyone on the pink bandwagon. After all, every occasion is the perfect opportunity for a bit of sparkle and whimsy, right?

Join me next week as I dive even deeper into this magical city and tell you about my visit to Prague's oldest ballet school and all the pink prettiness I found there!

Until then, darling readers, go forth and be fabulous!

Stay pink,

Emma šŸ©°šŸ’–
