Pink Tutu Prague: A Ballerina's Whirlwind Through the City of a Hundred Spires (Post #1587)

Hello my gorgeous ballet-loving babes! It's Emma, your Pink Tutu Princess, reporting live from the magical city of Prague! I know, I know, you're probably thinking, "Prague? Why Prague?" But trust me, this city is an absolute dream for any tutu-loving soul. Think stunning architecture, charming cobbled streets, delicious pastries, and… ballet! Oh, yes, ballet! 🩰

This week's Pink Tutu adventure took me across Europe on the most fabulous train journey imaginable. You see, I'm a firm believer in taking the scenic route. Why rush? We all need to slow down and appreciate the journey, the view from the carriage window, the whispers of the wind as it tickles through the trees…and maybe a little bit of time for some good old-fashioned fashion!

Of course, no journey is complete without my signature Pink Tutu, darling. This time, I opted for a whimsical creation with delicate layers of pink tulle and a sparkling sequined bodice. I paired it with a classic black beret and a bright pink polka dot scarf, a nod to the beautiful Czech tradition of polka dots. And the perfect finishing touch? A dainty pink leather backpack. Who says you can't travel in style?

Prague, You’re A Sight For Sore Eyes

The moment I arrived in Prague, I felt like I had stepped into a fairytale. The city, a breathtaking symphony of colourful buildings, was brimming with charm. It’s a city that embraces its history with open arms. Each turn down a cobbled street is a discovery waiting to happen.

I immediately fell in love with the Old Town Square. I know, I know, it's touristy, but trust me, it's for a reason. Standing in the centre of it all, you can almost feel the spirit of centuries past swirling around you. And then there’s the magnificent Astronomical Clock, a beautiful example of Prague's incredible artistry. It was fascinating watching the clock’s show, the mechanical figures, each telling their own story, coming to life before my eyes. I imagined being a princess at court watching these wonders.

Prague's Hidden Treasures: Ballerina’s Bliss

As a tutu-clad adventurer, Prague offers a smorgasbord of ballet delights. The Czech National Ballet is known for its world-class performances and renowned dancers, and trust me, it lived up to every expectation! The first ballet I saw was at the breathtaking Estates Theatre – it’s not just any theatre; it's a national treasure. Its grand, beautifully-ornamented architecture adds to the ballet magic.

But the real magic began when the curtain went up. The energy of the performers was simply breathtaking! They moved with such grace, such precision, every single twirl a poem in motion. The set was magical - think chandeliers dripping with crystal and vibrant hues of purple, gold and red. I must confess, I shed a tear during the finale.

You know what else was truly wonderful? This theatre even has a stunning costume exhibition in the crypt beneath it – talk about history! They've even got vintage tutu’s on display. As soon as I saw them, my mind raced. I envisioned myself onstage, the lights illuminating a pink tutu…the perfect fairy tale story come to life. You know I’ll be sharing the pictures from my trip to www.pink-tutu.com!

But wait! It gets better. Prague is brimming with ballet schools, many tucked away on quiet cobblestone lanes, where students practice until they reach that perfect "pliĆ©." There is a delightful studio I visited - it’s called ā€œLe Ballet Rougeā€, it's so inviting! It's tucked away on the third floor of an old building and looks so wonderfully quaint.

Now I know I say this all the time, but finding those secret hidden ballet jewels really makes my life so rewarding. They make my journey worthwhile and keep me in constant motion, dancing to the rhythm of Prague!

Tutu Treats: Fashion & Food

Now, a trip to Prague wouldn't be complete without a visit to its charming boutiques. From vintage to contemporary, this city’s shops cater to every style and desire. Prague loves colour, a true reflection of the city's beauty. Every boutique I wandered through, it felt like a mini art exhibition of colour and creativity.

Speaking of vibrant colours, did you know Prague is home to some of the world's most extraordinary art nouveau architecture? And yes, I'm talking about Pink buildings! Yes, you heard that right. Just picture it. An abundance of pretty pinks and pastel tones covering grand buildings, giving Prague this delightful and charming vintage look. It's almost as if Prague wants to shout ā€œFashion, I’m all about the beauty!ā€. And guess what, dear friends, so do I!

While I am always searching for the perfect pink tutu (can there ever be just one?!), you'll also find me indulging in all sorts of delectable delights – especially Czech pastries. Now, what makes Czech pastries so fabulous? Well, the secret is in the sweet dough. It's fluffy, a touch gooey, and simply irresistible, topped with juicy fruit, generous amounts of custard and lashings of sugar! There’s nothing quite like it. And when you bite into these delicacies, it’s like being surrounded by pure magic! It's the best part about Prague – the charm and the amazing cuisine - I must have tried every Czech bakery within walking distance of the city centre.

And of course, my favourite find? It was in the basement of a shop called ā€˜Rose Bud’ hidden in the old part of Prague. You could say they have everything a ballerina girl could want. Yes, it's a fashion emporium in pink heaven!

Pink Tutu Prague: Where Elegance Meets Fun

Prague is more than just a city. It’s an adventure waiting to unfold. Whether it’s getting lost in the magical beauty of its history, exploring its hidden ballet havens, discovering vintage delights, or just simply soaking up the energy of the people and their vibrant traditions, it’s an incredible journey to share.

So come on, my ballet-loving babes, take a chance! Embrace the whirlwind that is Prague. Take your pink tutu and be swept away to the most enchanting city in Europe. Prague – I'm already dreaming of returning and I just know it'll be my perfect fairy tale ending… maybe on a pony this time. And if you happen to visit the Estates Theatre and hear some wonderful applause during the finale of the show, well, it just might be me! 🩰
