Hello darlings! Emma here, writing to you from the utterly magical city of Prague. As you know, my quest in life is to share the joy of the pink tutu with the world, and I'm pretty certain Prague is going to be my new obsession.
A Train Journey to Remember
This week's journey started in the heart of Derbyshire, England. After a perfectly pink-hued breakfast (you know how I love my breakfast pancakes with a side of raspberry coulis), I hopped on the train to Prague, a trusty friend I always feel so glamorous on. I mean, what's more elegant than hurtling across the countryside at breakneck speed in a sleek, modern carriage? (Well, aside from riding a majestic, perfectly-groomed pony, perhaps). The journey was a blur of enchanting landscapes and fellow passengers captivated by my perfect pink tutu and a rather charming floral-patterned hat (I simply adore wearing matching accessories - don't you?).
A City of Stories, Style and, of course, Tutus!
Prague is one of those cities that grabs you by the heart the second you arrive. Cobblestone streets, majestic architecture, and charming cafés tucked away in hidden corners. But what really got my creative juices flowing was the vibrant, eclectic fashion scene. Just a short walk from the central station, I stumbled upon a delightful little shop overflowing with vintage treasures. You won't believe it, darling, I found a gorgeous pink ballet leotard with lace embellishments and a matching tutu! It's simply divine, and perfect for exploring the city in style.
Pink Tutu Performance
Speaking of tutus, a dear friend invited me to join her at a private ballet class last night. The studio, with its grand arched windows and stunning wooden floor, was nothing short of incredible. There I was, surrounded by beautiful, talented dancers in sparkling tutus as we worked our way through an array of exercises and balletic steps. I always feel so inspired in the company of passionate dancers, their commitment to their art is a truly wonderful thing to witness.
Ballet at the National Theatre
This evening, we're off to see a performance at the stunning National Theatre! You simply can't visit Prague without experiencing its theatrical magic, and I'm absolutely thrilled to be attending this prestigious venue, dressed to the nines, of course. The national ballet of the Czech Republic are world-renowned, and I can't wait to see their incredible artistry on stage. (My latest find from the vintage shop - a shimmering pink broach with ruby accents, will make the perfect statement piece!)
More to Explore: The Charming Charms of Prague
There's just so much to see in this captivating city! My to-do list is quite extensive - a trip to Prague Castle for stunning views, an afternoon in the enchanting Old Town Square, a stroll across the Charles Bridge, and indulging in the delicious pastries and creamy coffees that tempt me at every turn. I also want to delve into the rich history of Prague's ballet scene. There's an exhibition at the Museum of Dance that I simply must visit! They have an entire section dedicated to tutu history - imagine my excitement!
Travel by Train
This might come as a surprise to you, my dears, but Prague is an absolutely fantastic city for exploring on foot. The old town centre is easy to navigate, and every twist and turn brings new delights. But for a little adventure, we decided to take a train ride outside of the city centre to a charming, quaint town called Český Krumlov, nestled in a river valley and filled with historical architecture.
Sharing the Love of the Tutu
Each week, I travel the globe seeking out hidden gems, sharing my pink tutu adventures with the world. I hope this glimpse into my Prague adventures inspires you to step out of your comfort zone and embrace the power of the pink tutu. Whether you're taking a trip around the world or just enjoying a beautiful afternoon in your own hometown, a pink tutu will always add a touch of magic and glamour to your day.
Stay tuned for more exciting Prague updates, my lovelies!
Yours in Pink Tutu-ful Fashion, Emma x
