Buongiorno from the Eternal City, darlings! ☀️ It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time for another Pink Tutu adventure! 🩰 This week I’m whisking you away with me to Rome, the captivating heart of Italy.
You guys know how much I love exploring new cities and experiencing their unique cultures. And there's nothing quite like travelling by train! I've spent the last couple of days whizzing across Europe on my way here. Each journey is an experience in itself – watching the landscapes change, sharing a quiet cuppa with a fellow passenger, soaking up the chatter and the excitement of each station we pass. 🚂
Rome: Where history meets fashion 🏛️👗
I have to admit, arriving in Rome was a moment of sheer, sparkling joy! It's truly an enchanting city - steeped in ancient history and bursting with beauty and art. You feel it everywhere – the towering Colosseum, the intricate mosaics of the Vatican City, the majestic Pantheon… it’s all a feast for the senses.
But Rome isn’t just about its history! This city is seriously fashionable! We’re talking exquisite boutiques overflowing with Italian design, cobbled streets where everyone seems to be channeling a modern day Audrey Hepburn, and the buzz of fabulous fashion events throughout the year.
Finding my pink tutu paradise
I was giddy with excitement to step out of the station and find my pink tutu paradise. 🤫 And guess what? I'm living the dream! Every single day here has been like a personal fashion fairytale. 👑 From the elegant shops on Via Condotti to the buzzing markets of Trastevere, I've been scooping up vintage jewels and handmade Italian leather bags. (A girl’s gotta treat herself! 😉)
The fashion vibe here is inspiring! Even the little shops have a touch of chic. Think handmade crochet hats, handcrafted ceramics, vintage lace – Rome is a treasure trove of individual style! And it goes without saying – I haven’t forgotten my tutu. I've even been rocking a pink tutu under a flowy chiffon dress. 🤫 It's been attracting a few admiring stares, but what can I say? I’m a pink tutu advocate.
A Roman Ballet Romance
You know I love a good ballet show, right? Well, tonight I’m off to see "La Traviata" at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma! 🎼 I can’t wait! This iconic opera house is just beautiful - its opulent setting and legendary history make it a truly special place for ballet lovers like me.
This incredible trip has been a perfect blend of culture, beauty, and fashion. From dancing my heart out on the ancient pavements of the city centre, to admiring the exquisite craftsmanship in a small shop tucked away down a cobbled street, every moment has been an adventure. 🩰
And speaking of adventures...
This weekend, I’m going to explore the Catacombs, delve into the secrets of the ancient Roman forum, and maybe even grab some gelato in the Roman sunshine. 🍦 After all, a girl's got to balance the history and fashion with some Italian indulgences!
