Dover Calling! Pink Tutu Adventures, Post #8217

Hello darlings! It's your girl Emma, back with another dose of pink-tutu-tastic fun. I'm currently stationed in Dover, a charming little coastal town here in England. It's definitely a far cry from my usual Derbyshire haunts, but oh my, this place has got me feeling a right royal princess. And yes, you guessed it – pink tutu is firmly in place, obviously!

Today, I thought I'd share some snippets from my travels and hopefully inspire you to get out there and explore, perhaps with a little pink tulle in tow! I took the train here, you know? Nothing beats the romance of the rail lines and those big window views. I've always had a bit of a soft spot for old-fashioned steam engines, too – a real fairytale of travel.

A Dash of Sea, a Hint of History

Now, Dover is just oozing history, don’t you think? That big, grand castle just stands there on the cliffs, guarding the coastline with such majesty. The white cliffs themselves, ahhh, they’re just a breathtaking sight. I spent an hour just admiring them, the sunshine turning the white so brilliantly white, like icing on a big, gigantic Victoria sponge.

And what’s a visit to the seaside without a walk on the prom, am I right? The fresh sea air whipped through my hair as I twirled with my tutu (it was a good wind for swirling!) There’s something so calming about the sound of the sea crashing on the shore, especially after a long journey. It felt as though even the sea was welcoming me to the coast with its rhythm and sway.

The Little Shop that Made Me Say ā€˜Ooh la la!’

You just can’t visit a coastal town without finding a little, unique shop, can you? And so it was! As I wandered down a charming street, with those beautiful Georgian buildings (oozing charm, those do!), a sign said "Unique Treasuresā€. Well, I was like a magnet. It was full of handmade jewellery, funky pottery, vintage maps – everything!

And then, it hit me like a tidal wave of pink! It had to have been fate: a display case brimming with the most glorious, whimsical ballet-themed trinkets you’ve ever seen. My little heart just skipped a beat, you guys! I’d have stayed all day, but I knew I’d be tempted by everything! (Especially the pink feather boas…)

Dancing on the Shore, Pink Tutu Edition

There’s something utterly magical about dancing by the seaside, right? So naturally, I had to give it a go. (Pink tutu on, obviously! )

The soft, warm sand felt so incredible under my bare feet as I spun around. The waves, as I mentioned earlier, were crashing and lapping against the shore, a calming soundtrack to my graceful twirls. And you know what? There was no one around. Just me, my pink tutu, and the seaculls chirping in the background. Pure bliss!

I felt free, like a ballerina who had finally found her rightful stage. The sunset was glorious, and as the last rays of the sun kissed my skin, I had to capture it all in a few poses (more about that on Insta, darlings!). It felt like I was starring in my own personal fairytale.

Dover Calling… Again!

I know this place has captured my heart. I can feel the pink tutu spirit strong here. It’s got such an exciting, free vibe – the perfect place to get those creative juices flowing! Perhaps I’ll get those fancy boas next time, I just think it’d go wonderfully with a sea breeze and that big white chalky castle in the background.

If you're looking for a charming seaside getaway with a bit of historical magic and a touch of pink-tutu fun, Dover is your place, my darlings! Do share your own experiences with me if you’ve been to Dover, I’d love to hear what you have to say!

Until next time, remember:

Live life in a pink tutu. Do the ballet thing.

Sending you loads of love, Emma xx
