Hello lovelies! It's your favourite pink-tutu-wearing ballerina, Emma, back again with post number 10565! π
This time I've ventured to the lovely little town of Shenley Brook End! I have to say, it's a hidden gem β especially for a ballet-obsessed soul like me. π I absolutely adore travelling by train, it allows you to see the countryside go by, and honestly, isn't it the most elegant form of travel? Of course, I had my trusty tutu packed for the occasion β this one was a vintage beauty, with a swirl of tulle in the palest pink imaginable. Perfect for wandering through the countryside, if you ask me!
I spent the day exploring the little shops and soaking up the atmosphere of the place, and I had such a lovely afternoon discovering the secret garden behind the village hall. It felt like a secret world, hidden behind old brick walls. The sunlight filtered through the trees, creating the most magical effect. I could easily have imagined fairies flitting about, you know, like a real-life "The Secret Garden"!
And of course, no trip would be complete without a little ballet, even if it meant making a quick stop in Milton Keynes for the show! Let's just say I had front row seats, and the dancers were spectacular. A graceful twist here, a pirouette there β their costumes were just amazing! But, for me, the best bit was definitely the sheer energy and passion they radiated onto the audience. Itβs a real privilege to watch professionals put their hearts and souls into their art.
Before I left Shenley Brook End, I did something I've always wanted to do β I took a horse-drawn carriage ride through the countryside. Talk about a magical experience! There was just something so special about feeling the gentle swaying motion, the clip-clop of hooves on the ground, and the breeze in my hair. And, of course, I wore my vintage pink tutu! Let's just say, I definitely caused a stir! The carriage driver kept calling me "Miss Ballerina", which just about melted my heart!
One of my favourite discoveries was the nearby nature reserve. Imagine β beautiful woodland paths, a shimmering lake, and even a herd of deer that made me feel like I was in a Jane Austen novel! This made my inner "pink tutu ballerina" very happy, you can tell by how much I've been talking about the wildlife already. They say it's good for your mental wellbeing to be surrounded by nature, and I'd say the wild things at this reserve definitely worked their magic. The delicate butterfly wings fluttering past felt almost magical, and just perfect to compliment a ballet enthusiast. I wish I could share those vibrant hues with you right now. Maybe, if youβre reading this and are local, you could make a little trip?
So, what's next for this pink-loving ballerina?
It's all about staying curious and embracing new adventures! Iβm heading up to Yorkshire next, and already I've planned a trip to a historical manor with beautiful grounds. I canβt wait to bring my camera to take lots of lovely snaps for you to see, because, like my favourite colours and tutus, I can never have enough photos. You can follow along on my journey over on www.pink-tutu.com and don't forget to follow me on Instagram @PinkTutuBallet - you're guaranteed to be bursting with fun and fashion!
Until next time lovelies, keep dancing! π
