Hello my darlings! It’s Emma here, reporting live from the glorious seaside town of Hastings! I’ve just finished a whirlwind day of twirling, sightseeing, and seaside fun – and what a day it’s been!

Now, I’ve got to tell you about my outfit. Today’s tutu is something truly special. It’s a confection of tulle in the most delicate shade of blush pink, adorned with a swirling garland of white feathers that sway with every pirouette. Honestly, it feels like a delicate cloud wrapped around my body, ready to take flight. You’ll see it in the pictures – it’s definitely an Insta-worthy look, even if I do say so myself!

The journey to Hastings was a perfect blend of old-world charm and modern adventure. I took the train from my beloved Derbyshire, and you know how much I love that romantic feeling of chugging through the English countryside. I even spotted a couple of deer nibbling on wildflowers, their velvet coats a perfect contrast against the emerald green fields. Wildlife just seems to be drawn to my pink tutu magic! 😉

But let’s get back to Hastings! This town is overflowing with seaside delights. First, a delicious picnic on the beach, complete with sandwiches, strawberries, and lashings of creamy clotted cream. The salty air and the sound of the waves crashing on the shore were like a symphony of tranquility, perfect for a ballerina like me!

Later, we strolled along the cobbled streets of the Old Town, discovering hidden alleyways filled with art galleries and antique shops. You could easily get lost in this maze of delightful surprises. It was the perfect setting for me to take some absolutely gorgeous photographs – and believe me, this Tutu Blog is going to be exploding with them!

But the real highlight of the day was the ballet class! It was at this fantastic studio with beautiful arched windows and sunbeams streaming in. The instructor was amazing, guiding us through elegant movements that really challenged my core and left me feeling fantastically invigorated. The best part was seeing all the other students, from youngsters to seasoned ballerinas, sharing a common love for the art. It was a true reminder that ballet is for everyone, no matter what age, background, or body type. I’m thinking about adding Hastings to my regular class schedule!

And the evening? A night at the theatre, of course! Hastings’ Old Town Hall is a gorgeous building with amazing acoustics, and the show was spectacular – a ballet rendition of the story of "Peter Pan" with an incredible flying effect! I felt completely swept away by the performance, transported to a magical world of lost boys and fantastical adventures.

But I must admit, the best moment of the night was seeing a young girl, no more than five years old, absolutely captivated by the dancing. She was wearing a little pink tutu with matching sparkly shoes – just like mine! Her eyes shone with awe, and for a brief moment, I saw myself reflected in her face. A reminder that the magic of ballet never fades, even as we grow older.

I’m leaving Hastings tomorrow, but it’s a place that has stolen a piece of my heart. I feel so inspired by its charming energy, its artistic vibe, and, of course, its gorgeous seaside vistas!

So, if you’re looking for a delightful getaway, Hastings should be at the top of your list. And remember, there’s a pink tutu waiting for you somewhere! ✨ It's time to embrace your inner ballerina! Don't forget to check back for more adventures and even more inspiring tutus. Until next time, darlings! 😘
