Hello my darling Tutu Twirlers! 💖
It's Emma here, your resident pink-tutu-clad adventurer, and guess what? I'm back in the saddle! Well, not a saddle exactly, more a seat on the good ol' railway! Yes, after a whirlwind week in Derbyshire, where I graced the stage in a spectacular ballet production of Giselle (review coming soon!), I'm off to sunny Cheshunt, a little town I've been longing to explore.
But first, let's talk tutus. I mean, you know I had to pick a truly fabulous one for this trip, right? So, imagine a billowing American-style tulle creation, just like they wore in the 1940s Hollywood musicals. A blush-pink hue, with delicate sequins catching the light – oh, it's simply divine!
Honestly, you know I have a thing for pink, but lately, I'm utterly smitten with the 40s style. The femininity, the grace, the twirling possibilities - it's everything! I just feel like I channel the fabulousness of Ginger Rogers whenever I wear this one. 😉
So, now, with my twirling ready, I'm on my way to Cheshunt. Why? Because this little town holds a certain magical allure. Did you know they have an amazing wildlife park? Think exotic birds, majestic deer, and fluffy bunnies hopping about! Honestly, I already feel the peacefulness seeping in just thinking about it! I might even break out my pink ballet shoes and take some dance shots with the animals – imagine the photo ops!
Of course, a trip to Cheshunt wouldn't be complete without a dose of culture, right? Thankfully, this town doesn't disappoint. I hear whispers of a stunning little ballet school called "The Dance Centre", and believe me, I'm on a mission to find them! I might even book a class or two while I'm there, a fellow Tutu Twirler needs her daily dose of pliés!
Now, you all know I have a special place in my heart for vintage finds. And guess what? Cheshunt has some amazing independent boutiques! Think beautiful dresses, delicate jewellery, and of course, plenty of vintage ballet paraphernalia - who knows, I might just find a new tutu companion for my travels!
