Kingswood Calling! 🩰✨💖 (Post #10748)

Hello my darlings! 💖 It’s your favourite pink-tutu-wearing ballerina, Emma, back with another whirl through the world of twirls and travel. Today, we’re taking a trip to the quaint, charming town of Kingswood. It’s one of those quintessential English villages, you know? Cobbled streets, old stone houses with rambling gardens, and the scent of lavender wafting on the air. Perfect for a girly getaway.

But this time, I’m not just wearing my trusty tutu! I'm rocking a fabulously German bodice, with its intricate embroidery and traditional black and red colour scheme. It gives a touch of continental elegance to my ballet ensemble – talk about fusion fashion.

Now, Kingswood is not a place known for its ballet scene (unless you count the adorable little children performing in the church hall!), but it is known for its wildlife. And let’s face it, I'm all about animal conservation. I mean, I'd gladly take a stroll in the woods with a badger and a herd of deer over a fancy dinner party any day! 🦡🦌

After exploring the winding lanes and admiring the gardens (I’m thinking those hydrangeas are going to inspire some new dance moves, wouldn't you say?), I indulged in a spot of afternoon tea in the cutest little tea room. It's called “The Dancing Teacup,” can you believe it? I'm like a magnet for ballet-themed places, even when I'm miles from a theatre!

The best part of my Kingswood adventure was the ballet performance in the local village hall. A local company called "Kingswood Twirls" presented a medley of pieces - think Giselle meets Swan Lake in a quaint, rustic setting. They weren't professionals, of course, but their passion and talent were evident, and I was completely charmed.

There’s something magical about watching amateur dancers put their hearts and souls into their craft. You know, that sense of pure, unadulterated joy for the art form. It’s why I started Pink Tutu - to spread the love of ballet and to inspire people, from beginners to seasoned professionals, to dance their hearts out.

Let's talk about dance, my loves! Speaking of inspiration, Kingswood’s “Twirls” really made me want to hit the studio! There's just something about witnessing live performances that fuels my desire to dance. Ballet is such a beautiful art form. It allows you to express emotions without speaking, to move your body in a way that is both graceful and powerful. And it’s a great workout too! 🤸‍♀️💪

My next adventure is going to be learning a new piece at the studio. Maybe something dramatic, full of emotion, to really tap into the dramatic energy of Kingswood’s performance. What do you think? Any suggestions? Let me know in the comments! 👇

Speaking of dramatic, I'm heading out on another railway journey soon. The train is my happy place! It allows me to observe the world going by without the hassle of driving, and let me tell you, I have a knack for spotting the most whimsical details - that little bird soaring in the sky, the children playing in the field, the quirky houses perched on the hillsides. Everything inspires me!

So, stay tuned for my next Pink Tutu adventure. And remember, you don’t have to be a professional ballerina to wear a tutu or appreciate the beauty of ballet. Whether you're a dancer or just a ballet enthusiast, never stop expressing yourself, twirling with joy, and embracing life’s little delights.

Until next time, keep dancing, keep travelling, and keep spreading that pink tutu love! 💖

Love,

Emma x
