Kenton Calling! Tutu Time with a Side of Pink 🩰💕

Hey loves! Emma here, your pink-tutu-obsessed ballet blogger, reporting live from the charming little town of Kenton, a hop, skip, and a gallop (well, train ride!) away from my beloved Derbyshire. It's a brand new year, and guess what? It's PINK TUTU TIME! Who else feels the irresistible urge to twirl the moment the clock strikes midnight on January 1st? 🙋‍♀️

Now, I'm not talking about any old tutu, darling. We're going full-on flamingo-fantastic with this one! This gorgeous, shocking-pink leotard is basically a giant, swirling cloud of pink deliciousness. You know how I adore a bit of colour, and this one practically screams "get your sparkle on!"

But let's be real, a tutu is nothing without a good location. Kenton, you have to see it to believe it! This historic town is like a picture postcard, with charming little shops, cosy pubs, and an incredible energy buzzing in the air. They've got a stunning castle (perfect for a royal ballerina pose, of course), and don't even get me started on the park. I literally squealed with delight when I saw the huge expanse of green lawn, just begging for a pirouette or two!

Speaking of twirling, Kenton's got an amazing ballet school too, tucked away in a cobbled backstreet. It's not a fancy, city centre studio, but that's what makes it so special! You know how much I love the intimacy and camaraderie of smaller schools. The moment I stepped in, the air was electric with the magic of movement.

This morning, I was lucky enough to sneak in a class. It was a proper mix of ballerinas of all ages and levels - and I swear, they were the most wonderful group of people. Such kindness and generosity of spirit, it was like a big family. There's something incredibly empowering about ballet, and it was truly heartwarming to see the dedication and passion of each student.

After class, I found myself wandering through the streets, feeling the spirit of Kenton seep into my very core. I stumbled upon the cutest little café with the most delicious selection of pink macarons you could ever imagine! It was just another example of how Kenton embraces life's simple pleasures with a vibrant splash of colour and charm.

And of course, no trip to Kenton would be complete without exploring the breathtaking natural beauty that surrounds the town. I found myself enchanted by the rugged hills and serene countryside, dotted with curious creatures like rabbits, foxes, and the cutest little birds hopping around the park! Wildlife is such a big part of what makes the English countryside so special, and it's something that fills my heart with joy.

Now, you might be wondering why I’m so passionate about pink tutus and ballet in general? Honestly, it’s because they’re symbols of pure, uninhibited joy! A tutu, to me, represents freedom of movement, expression, and just plain, good fun. Ballet pushes boundaries and encourages creativity. And the colour pink? Well, it’s the ultimate symbol of feminine strength, empowerment, and positivity.

I’m on a mission, my dears. My dream is to see the world draped in pink tutus. It sounds silly, maybe even frivolous, but imagine the impact! It would be a world full of colour, confidence, and creative energy!

So, who’s with me? What are you waiting for? Grab your favourite pink tutu (or borrow one if you need to!), find an open space, and twirl until your heart's content! Remember, life’s too short to take things too seriously! Let's spread the joy, the love, and a touch of pink magic across the globe!

Sending love and sparkles from Kenton!

Emma xoxo
