Hello lovelies!
It's Emma here, reporting live from the utterly charming town of Letchworth! I just love these quaint English towns, tucked away like hidden gems waiting to be discovered. It's a real contrast to the big city life I'm usually surrounded by, and honestly, I'm embracing every moment of it.
Now, I’m here in Letchworth for a very special reason, which I can’t tell you just yet (spoiler alert, I'll spill the beans in a few days!), but let me just say it involves a certain someone and an extraordinary ballet production 😉 You'll have to wait to find out the details, but it's going to be divine.
Oh, and before we dive into the Letchworth adventure, I have to tell you about this incredible new leotard I found. Imagine, if you will, a blush pink masterpiece with the most delicate embroidery you’ve ever seen. It’s swoon-worthy – I feel like a ballerina straight out of a fairy tale! You know how I feel about pink, right? It’s practically my signature colour – even more than tutus (is that even possible?).
Now, back to Letchworth! I arrived this morning, after a glorious journey on the train. Nothing beats the comfort of a vintage carriage and a good book, you know? I’ve already explored the quaint little shops, and trust me, they're filled with some seriously lovely finds.
My heart skipped a beat at the sight of this gorgeous vintage shop crammed full of vintage dresses and tutus – absolute heaven for a tutu enthusiast like myself! They even had a beautiful antique mirrored ballet box filled with dancing shoes! My fingers itched to touch them. But alas, they’re not exactly travel-friendly so they'll have to remain just a sweet memory.
Then, there was this lovely bookshop filled with all sorts of enchanting titles. I found a lovely leather-bound copy of Swan Lake in translation that I'll be carrying back with me as a lovely memento of my time here. And let's not forget about the delicious tea and scones I indulged in at this charming little tearoom! I love a good afternoon tea – especially when the teacup is vintage and the cake is bursting with pink sprinkles!
Tonight, I'm exploring the heart of Letchworth Garden City, the oldest planned garden city in the UK. Apparently, it's a UNESCO World Heritage site – who knew? You know I can't resist taking in a spot of wildlife and the peaceful beauty of nature while I'm at it. It seems this town is full of surprises.
Tomorrow morning, I'm attending a ballet class at the lovely Letchworth Arts Centre, right next to the theatre. The idea of learning some new routines and pushing my own limits is always a delightful prospect. And who knows? Maybe some of you lovely readers are out there, wanting to join me! I wouldn't say no to a few extra ballerinas for my own little ensemble!
You've gotta come see Letchworth! If it wasn’t already obvious, this place has become a bit of an obsession! It's so tranquil and beautiful, full of charming little shops and friendly faces. And if you're a ballet lover like myself, you'll be in your element. It's really inspiring, this small-town ballet scene. I love how much it feels like a tight-knit community of like-minded souls who share a love for dance. And honestly, what more could I ask for?
Just remember to keep checking back here on my website at www.pink-tutu.com - every single day! There’s going to be a big Letchworth reveal coming soon, so stay tuned! And don’t forget to leave your own Letchworth recommendations down below! What's your favourite thing about this sweet little town?
Sending you lots of pink tutu love!
Emma 💕
