Hastings, Here I Come! (Blog Post #10898) 🩰💖

Hello lovelies!

It's Emma here, your resident pink-tutu-wearing, ballet-loving, travel-obsessed gal, writing to you from the gorgeous seaside town of Hastings! This is post number 10898 on www.pink-tutu.com - can you believe it? I’m still pinching myself at how far we’ve come together on this crazy, pink tutu journey!

Now, where was I? Oh, right! Hastings. I arrived this morning, having taken a most delightful journey from Derbyshire by train. It’s so wonderful to watch the countryside rush by as you sit with a cup of tea (and a good book, of course!), soaking up the ever-changing landscape. Sometimes I even spot a curious sheep staring out from a field – they seem to have the same kind of appreciation for beautiful scenery as I do! 😉

I had to wear my new pastel pink tutu for the journey, of course. It was a glorious, breezy day, perfect for twirling in the carriages between stops! And the fellow passengers seemed to love it too - there were a few shy smiles and waves, and one kind gentleman even complimented me on my choice of footwear! You just never know what adventures a pink tutu will bring you!

Hastings itself is an absolute gem! The air is crisp and clean, with a salty tang that I adore, and the seafront is simply stunning. This quaint little town boasts so much history and character, you feel as though you’ve stepped straight into a classic novel! My room at the Mermaid Hotel is absolutely adorable, all lace curtains and dainty furniture. The owner even gifted me a box of chocolates with a handwritten note – how sweet is that?

Tonight, I’m off to see a performance by the Hastings Ballet Company at the magnificent Royal Hippodrome. This old Victorian theatre has so much history, it's almost as if the walls are buzzing with the whispers of dancers past! I’m excited to see how their production of "The Nutcracker" plays out in this iconic venue.

Tomorrow morning, I'm planning on taking a stroll along the beach with my camera, hoping to capture the beautiful seaside landscape and maybe even spot a few seagulls gracefully soaring above. Later, I'll be joining a drop-in ballet class at the Hastings Dance Studio - it'll be wonderful to share my passion for the art form with others!

But enough about my itinerary, I know you’re dying to know all about my fabulous pink tutu for this trip! 😉 This one is a beauty - it's a light, airy fabric in a delicate peach colour that catches the light perfectly. I’ve paired it with my trusty white ballet shoes and a simple pink cashmere cardigan for a touch of sophistication. I’m also wearing a sweet little floral headband - think “romantic seaside picnic” vibes. I’ll post a few photos on Instagram later tonight, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled!

You see, my friends, there’s no better way to explore the world than in a pink tutu. It just makes everything more magical! Remember, my lovelies, a life without tutus is like a ballet without pirouettes… just incomplete.

So get your pink tutus ready, let’s spread the ballet love everywhere we go, and stay tuned for more adventures in pink!

Lots of love and pirouettes,

Emma 🩰💖
