It's Emma here, and guess what? I'm in Carlisle! This historic city is charming me with its cobbled streets, quaint shops, and stunning views of the Lake District. As always, my pink tutu came along for the ride! 😉
Speaking of rides, this time I travelled by train! The journey was simply delightful. I even saw a family of deer grazing in a field beside the track, which was just magical! (I must admit, the thought of riding on a horse-drawn carriage crossed my mind – I imagine the journey through the Lake District would be simply divine).
Fairy Tale Tutu 💫✨
Today, I'm channeling some serious fairytale vibes. My new tulle tutu is absolutely stunning. It's a vibrant shade of pink, with intricate floral embellishments and a shimmering layer of sparkle. It just screams 'enchanted forest' – perfect for my walk around the castle ruins! I mean, it wouldn't be a TutuBlog post without a pink tutu, would it? 😂
Castle Conundrums 🏰
The Carlisle Castle is a sight to behold! You can really feel the weight of history as you explore the keep, the medieval towers, and the secret tunnels. And speaking of secret tunnels, I'm absolutely smitten with the tale of Mary, Queen of Scots. Apparently, she stayed here in the 16th century and had a tunnel leading from her lodgings! How glamorous, right?!
Ballet in Cumbria 🩰
Carlisle is not just a historic hub; it's also bursting with artistic talent! I stumbled upon a fantastic ballet school during my explorations. They're hosting an open day next month, and you can bet your bottom dollar I'll be there. Imagine the fun of taking a ballet class amidst the Lake District scenery! 😍 I think it's time I try my hand at some pointe work again – and, of course, document it for all you fabulous followers.
Afternoon Tea ☕🍰
Now, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the scrumptious afternoon tea I indulged in at a charming little cafe in the heart of Carlisle. It was truly delightful! My scone was perfectly light and fluffy, the tea was fragrant and calming, and the dainty sandwiches were a work of art. They even had pink macarons, just for me! 😂 I could definitely get used to this relaxed pace of life.

As I sit here, sipping on my afternoon tea, watching the sun set over the Cumbrian hills, I can't help but feel truly content. Life's simple pleasures, like wearing a fabulous pink tutu, exploring historical wonders, and embracing the beauty of nature, make me happy.
