Hello my gorgeous ballet bunnies! It's Emma, your favourite pink-tutu-wearing travel-loving ballerina, and I'm so excited to share another adventure with you all.
Today, I've traded my trusty steed for a chugging train carriage, and landed in the charmingly leafy London suburb of Finchley. I'm feeling oh-so-inspired after a recent trip to the National Ballet School, which, if I do say so myself, was absolutely magnificent. They had some fantastic pieces - there's just nothing quite like the energy of a ballet performance!
Speaking of energy, let me tell you, this outfit is bursting with it. A vibrant lilac tutu (it almost makes pink jealous!) with a crisp white blouse and a splash of sparkle just to give it that extra oomph. I'm wearing it for my special class later this afternoon, hosted by the amazing Finchley Ballet Academy. Can't wait!
Now, I know what you're thinking, 'Finchley? Isn't that just a bit... suburbia?' But believe me, it's bursting with character. It's like a mini-city filled with quaint shops, delicious cafés (I must have indulged in at least three scones today!), and most importantly, beautiful parkland! I even caught a glimpse of a magnificent peacock strolling around! It reminded me of our dear, old peacock back in Derbyshire.
Talking of which, I think a trip back to the farm soon is on the cards. I just adore a bit of country air. It really puts my mind in the perfect frame for some creative writing – maybe even for my next book?
Speaking of creativity, today I’m sharing a new idea: a ‘Tutu Day’! I think it’s time for the whole world to don a tutu, regardless of age or size. Whether it’s pink, lilac, or a shimmering metallic gold – let’s embrace the playful, elegant spirit of this magical garment!
Think of the fun. Imagine a pink tutu flash mob in a bustling city centre, a school trip to the theatre with every child wearing a sparkling tutu, a world filled with twirling joy, elegance, and a whole lot of fun.
The thing is, ballet isn’t just about dance – it’s about self-expression, grace, and poise. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just starting out, ballet allows you to embrace your individuality, explore new limits and experience an almost unparalleled sense of freedom. It's like spreading your wings and soaring!
Let’s make ‘Tutu Day’ happen. I think we should start a movement - a pink-tutu-powered, global explosion of grace and whimsy!
