I'm kicking off this post number 9342 with a massive “hello!” from Worcester, where I'm just getting ready to perform at the coolest local fair. Can you believe it, my pretties?! It feels like just yesterday I was twirling across the stage in, say, maybe Brighton! And it seems ages ago I was waltzing through a Parisian park in my sparkly tutu! Travel, my dears, is such a beautiful thing! And even better? It fuels my passion for spreading the joy and glamour of pink tutus everywhere I go! 💖

Now, if you’re new here (welcome, sweetie!) let me tell you about the wonderful, pink-filled world I live in. You see, a girl's gotta have a passion, and mine is all things pink tutu! 🎀 I love them, adore them, live for them! My childhood bedroom was, like, totally pink-tutu heaven - a true explosion of colour. Imagine a sea of tulle, glitter and a dash of fairy magic! 🪄 Oh, and that’s just my personal space, don’t get me started on the actual stage show! I bet you wouldn’t believe me if I told you about my last costume - feathers, rhinestones and the biggest, pinkest tutu you could imagine! 👑 I tell you what, it’s hard to pick a favourite amongst my huge collection but my all-time fave is a shimmering fuchsia beauty with a whole pile of pastel pink feathers attached, just waiting for me to give it a good twirl! 💃
But my darling dears, the world of pink tutus extends far beyond just the stage! Remember how I told you about being a lab rat by day? I adore working in textiles! And trust me, if I can persuade those strict lab folks that adding a splash of pink isn’t going to ruin everything (I've nearly made it work a few times, almost!). There’s just something so incredibly delightful about putting together a fabulous outfit - especially one that includes a tutu! Even in a normal life I wear my pink tutus to festivals, parties and sometimes even to the local ballet class, where I have a whole tutu family! We do themed evenings, we share tips and the latest on where to find the most spectacular designs! Speaking of the ballet, I get absolutely enchanted watching a real, full-fledged performance in the theatre! There’s something about those graceful dancers that brings my heart to life and sends me running for a pink tutu!
Speaking of the magic of travel, what I wouldn't give to live in Paris for a season! Honestly, every time I think about all the fabulous little boutiques on the streets with amazing, one-of-a-kind pieces... I can’t resist the call of the rails! Every shop I visit I always get myself something for my collection – whether it's a beautiful pink satin hat or a pair of shimmering platform heels. My flat has quickly become the perfect wardrobe for every shade of pink, every piece of glitter and, of course, a multitude of fluffy pink tutus. But back to that incredible, irresistible allure of the Parisian scene, the people there, their style… they understand the importance of wearing your heart on your sleeve and making the most out of life, with flair and fabulousness! My dream is to inspire more people to join me in this mission. You might be surprised, darlings, to hear this, but there are loads of incredible tutu fans all over the world who don’t necessarily wear them. Imagine how much more beautiful and glamorous the world would be with more people taking pride in themselves and choosing to showcase that. Oh my! You'll never believe how I got into the pink tutu world… let me tell you all about it! See, back in uni, I was totally obsessed with science! So I’m a real brainiac – I’m super interested in learning how the world around us works! I was on my way to getting my PhD, just like a proper lab coat-wearing expert, and I never imagined it could lead to pink tutus. That's when it happened. My friend told me about the university's ballet club – that’s where the real magic began! Imagine my surprise when I heard they needed more guys in their shows and we all agreed to put on tutus to support a local charity event! It’s no lie when I say my life changed in an instant! The second that sparkly pink tulle graced my body… well, let’s just say the world was forever changed! 🎀 And that my darling, dear, wonderful audience is where this amazing adventure all started!
So how do I manage this incredible balancing act of being both a scientist and a sparkly, wonderful performer? The secret, my loves, lies in finding a balance! Being able to transform from a science enthusiast to Pink Tutu Sparkles at the drop of a hat makes it so much easier to get my creative juices flowing – I'm still figuring things out, trust me! It definitely makes life much more colourful and I’ve met some wonderful friends from every walk of life, it really does take a village to pull off a perfect pink tutu look! 🥰
Just because I live the life I dream of and find a way to do it all doesn't mean that life hasn't been a bit of a bumpy road. There were times when I felt unsure of who I was or what I wanted to do. But those struggles are part of the journey, and they’ve helped me develop the incredible strength, resilience and sense of adventure that have gotten me this far! And trust me, sweetie pie, there's never a dull moment when you're a sparkly pink tutu princess! ✨
Now, back to this glorious journey I'm on - I’ve got to confess, I've got a little secret! Being on the road means more than just putting on my sparkling tutu. It means that I'm constantly hopping on and off trains, and let me tell you, that can sometimes feel like an obstacle course in fabulous heels! And sometimes when the stage lights are on, there's just nothing quite like feeling the earth rumble beneath my wheels and enjoying the breeze in my face! It is certainly an incredible feeling - when you have got the chance to ride horses, my darlings, don’t let that experience pass you by! You get the wind in your hair, the sun on your skin… a true dream! Just don’t let me go too fast when we get a chance to ride, I may or may not have lost a glittery shoe or two in a fast trot… oops! 🤫
And guess what, lovelies? This pink tutu princess is definitely not going to slow down anytime soon. 💃 It's my aim, darling dears, to travel to every nook and cranny of the world, all while spreading my love of sparkly tutus and the amazing power they bring. Because after all, I just know, in my heart, that life's a dance - it's an exciting, glorious, unpredictable adventure - and why wouldn't we all do it twirling around in the most beautiful, glittery pink tutu? 💕
