I recently discovered the most exquisite collection of pink satin and tulle – think of delicate floral embroidery and cascading layers of dreamy pink, all designed for the ultimate twirling experience! Speaking of twirling, you'll never guess what I saw while I was riding the train to Walsall. (I love trains, did I mention that? They're so romantic, all those old-fashioned carriages, and the calming rhythm of the tracks – a real fairy-tale experience for a girl like me!) Anyway, I saw this group of young dancers heading towards the station. They were all in the most stunning black tutus, their long legs moving like liquid gold. But my real adventure in Walsall began with a visit to the fantastic New Art Gallery Walsall. It’s a museum that celebrates contemporary art in all its glory! I found myself lost in a whirlwind of colours, textures, and thought-provoking installations. I could barely contain myself, wanting to twirl my way through the gallery space with my new hat perched proudly on my head! I have to admit, there’s something about art that brings out the dramatic side in me. It truly ignites my inner diva!
Then, the moment I'd been waiting for… my performance! My stage was a quaint little pub called "The Swan Inn". The locals welcomed me with open arms, cheering and chanting my name. They loved my performance! It was a medley of vintage pop, classic ballet, and a touch of Broadway flair, with me sporting my newest pink tutu creation. They even had a little dance-off with me after the show! They may not have been professional dancers, but they certainly made me giggle with their enthusiasm. And, let's face it, that's the magic of drag: it's about spreading joy and making everyone feel like a star! ✨
