Hello my darlings!
It’s your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with you on www.pink-tutu.com - post number 9472! As you know, it's impossible for me to stay put for too long, so here I am, sparkling and twirling my way into the beautiful town of Leighton Buzzard! And let me tell you, I'm already completely in love!
This town has such a sweet charm - a touch of countryside quaintness with a vibrant energy. It's like the perfect blend of tea and sequins! The cobbled streets, the lovely little independent shops... It's truly the kind of place where a girl can find her happily ever after. Or at least find an absolutely gorgeous pink tutu. 😉
And talking about tutus... Well, you know my mission in life! Every day I wake up thinking, "How can I get more people in pink tutus?!" This world needs more pink tutus, darling. More fluff, more fun, more glitter! I just know everyone would be a bit happier in a tutu - even those stiff, uptight people who claim they don't "do" pink! You can be chic, darling. You can be fabulous in pink!
Anyway, I digressed a little! My arrival in Leighton Buzzard was a fairytale journey. The train ride from Derbyshire was a total delight. The scenery whizzed by, the sun glinted on the windows, and I spent most of the time trying out my new shades, all thanks to the wonderful selection at the fabulous London department store where I recently bought the entire "sparkly, pink and playful" aisle. 💅
Now, you might be wondering: Why Leighton Buzzard? Well, darlings, it's a hidden gem of a location. I received a most delightful invitation from the organisers of the "Leighton Buzzard Festive Fair" – a joyous Christmas market bursting with merriment, and guess what? It needs a bit of extra sparkle! They invited yours truly, the one and only Pink Tutu Sparkles, to be their headline act. It’s going to be so much fun!
Just imagine it: fairy lights strung up across the square, hot chocolate steaming in paper cups, festive tunes playing... And then BAM! Enter Pink Tutu Sparkles, dazzling in a sequined pink number, spinning glitter and magic as I belt out my signature festive tunes!
I’ll be performing my most popular routine: “Twas the Night Before Christmas" (that’s a ballet street number – we incorporate leaps, poses and pirouettes, you know!) It involves quite a lot of pink tulle – and there will be lots of sparkles raining down from the sky. I even got special glittery Christmas lights woven into my tutu this year! Trust me, it's going to be epic!
Speaking of sequins... You know I had to go on a shopping spree before arriving here. Leighton Buzzard has some wonderful shops, filled with little treasures! I found a gorgeous little vintage store with a perfect vintage brocade shawl – which you know is getting added to the act, I just have to see how to make it look dramatic. A lot of this is down to what I'll discover on the train ride up - the more gorgeous vintage fabrics, the better the chances for me to have a great wardrobe malfunction to use on stage. You’ll just have to wait and see! I know I'll find all sorts of things that will complete my look! And, as always, there will be loads of pink to discover, which of course I’ll be snapping pics of and posting for you. (But I’ll tell you what’s really going to have me excited: A shop selling pink-tutu themed merchandise! Let’s just hope they don't run out, darlings!)
As I write this, my energy is buzzing like the local Christmas tree lights. You see, I have so many more things planned! A hot cocoa date in a gorgeous Victorian tearoom, an evening at the ballet (they have the most stunning performance of “The Nutcracker” coming up), and maybe even a visit to the nearby Dunstable Downs. Maybe I can even persuade them to host a big Pink Tutu party. If I'm being honest, I've already sent a request. It wouldn’t be a Christmas visit without getting those beautiful rolling hills and amazing vistas in photos! Oh, the outfits I’m planning! (Let’s be real, they're all pink! 😉).
There's just one thing that's going to complete my time here - a visit to the ballet school. They have classes at all levels - it's simply the dream for a tutu-loving diva like me! Can’t you picture it? Pink Tutu Sparkles, on a stage with other graceful dancers. 🩰 A masterclass of graceful twirls, stunning jumps and graceful poses. And trust me, there will be pictures to prove it, darling. I just know I'm going to make so many memories here!
