Hello lovelies! It’s your favourite Tutu Queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here, back with you again! I’m SO excited about today’s blog post because it’s about a really special trip to a very special place. Today’s post is post number 9474 – phew! Can you believe we’ve got over 9000 posts now?! This makes my heart feel like it’s gonna burst with all this joy – thank you all so much for being on this journey with me. 💖✨
I’m currently writing from a comfy carriage on the train from York to Newcastle and… let me tell you, travelling by train is the way to go! It allows you to sit back, relax and look at the gorgeous English countryside… AND admire the outfits I’m wearing! 😍 Speaking of, today's look is a pink tulle confection - it's a layered pink tutu skirt, the most fluffy, pretty thing. My top is a satin blouse, with a shimmering bodice, and I'm finishing it all off with a sparkly headband! This combo is perfect for a journey to a new adventure!
You see, darling, I'm headed to the beautiful coastal town of Blyth for a very special gig! A magical, twirly ballet performance in the local arts centre – and guess who's starring? That's right, yours truly, Pink Tutu Sparkles! 🩰✨ Blyth, you better be ready to feel the joy!
But first, some tea! Now, before I gush all about this brilliant opportunity, let's have a chat about my trip to York. Did I tell you how much I love York? It’s such a beautiful city. Cobblestone streets, grand cathedrals, charming shops, you name it. I spent the morning doing what I do best – exploring. Now, you can't visit a historical city without checking out its market! 🛍️ It was packed with all sorts of delightful goodies, I'd recommend trying their Yorkshire fudge. So tasty! But what truly captivated me were the antique shops! They had all these amazing hats and fascinators, some even vintage, you just couldn’t help but buy something, right?
Oh! And a bit of trivia – did you know that the York Minster is a breathtaking cathedral that's over 900 years old?! 🤯 Just wow, it’s truly a testament to the grandeur of history! Of course, I took a peek inside and marveled at the beautiful stained glass windows. It felt like I'd been transported to a fairytale! 🥰
I couldn’t resist making a detour to the York Museum Gardens. The whole area is just stunning – and the gardens were bursting with vibrant flowers. Imagine! It was just perfect for an afternoon photo shoot in my most whimsical outfit, with the perfect background – pure floral heaven! Speaking of whimsical… I’m all about spreading the tutu joy – remember my mission to get everyone wearing pink tutus?! So of course, I couldn’t just visit a beautiful place like York and NOT give a bit of sparkle to the streets, could I?! 😉
On my afternoon stroll I spotted a lovely park – filled with children playing and laughing. That's my cue to give everyone some tutu love! I brought out my favourite sparkly, rainbow coloured tutu and had all the children trying it on. Such joy! Imagine these children all giggling and smiling. A true ray of sunshine on a glorious summer's day. And… they were a big fan of my makeup too! You see, there’s something very magical about tutus, especially for children – they just instantly spark their imagination! 🪄 I love how my performance inspires others, especially youngsters, to follow their dreams and be their own fabulous selves!
And of course, what is a trip to York without a visit to the stunning Theatre Royal? Let me tell you, the theatre was just spectacular! You really do get transported back to a golden age. I absolutely adore the intricate decorations, and the grand architecture that make you feel like you've been taken back to the days of elegance and drama! For my special treat, I went to see a ballet performance. I just adore ballets; I find them so gracefully elegant, powerful and emotive! 😍 It felt like a divine feast for the senses!
Speaking of senses, I had the best time at a delightful café on my journey to York! Their hot chocolate with marshmallows was to die for. But of course, I also indulged in a delectable pink cupcake (after all, a queen has to keep her energy levels up for all her twirls, right?!). 😋
As you can tell, my trip to York was a dream come true! So, so many magical moments. Speaking of magical, remember how I mentioned I'm heading to Blyth for a spectacular ballet performance? I can’t wait! I've been practicing my routines, trying new moves, and working on an incredibly fabulous ensemble! I am ready to bring a bit of that pink tutu sparkle to Blyth. I’m picturing an amazing venue, full of laughing faces. And when my routine is over? Maybe a couple of children in the audience might be ready for their own Tutu Transformation! 😉 I just love bringing the world together and giving joy, whether it’s in my daily life or during a stage performance. And my life is just a wonderful fairytale that just keeps getting better. And I truly believe that, as we get closer to 2026, there’s never going to be a time like this for the power of dreams, happiness and just, overall, joy! 💖✨
As I finish this post and stare out of the train window, the beautiful North Sea sparkles, it reminds me of all those glittery fabrics I have for my next pink tutu outfit! I’m a dreamer, I’m an optimist. I want you to see what you are capable of. Remember, dear readers, you can achieve absolutely anything if you dream big and put in the work.
