Now, if you know me at all, you know I simply adore a good train journey. There’s something magical about sitting by the window, watching the scenery roll by, and soaking in the sights and sounds of the world whizzing past. Let’s just say my excitement was practically reaching the top of the carriages as I chugged along! 😉
Upon arriving in Letchworth, I was instantly smitten. The streets were abuzz with friendly locals and quaint shops, each one filled with unique treasures just waiting to be discovered. I found myself getting swept away in the atmosphere, picturing myself swirling around the market square in my fanciest pink tutu, bringing a little bit of magic to this already charming town. ✨
And speaking of tutus, my dear readers, I must tell you about the incredible ballet show I caught at the Letchworth Garden City Theatre. The performance was breathtaking! I snagged a beautiful new blush pink sequined top that’ll be absolutely perfect for my next drag performance – and, you can be sure, a brand-new tutu just had to be a part of the haul. It’s a stunning shimmering lilac number that would make even the most delicate fairy jealous! 🤫
My trip to Letchworth wouldn’t have been complete without a visit to the renowned Letchworth Garden City Museum. The museum has an extensive collection showcasing the fascinating history of this planned town, its innovative architecture, and its commitment to community living. I even saw some fascinating photographs of the town from the early 1900s – quite a difference from the vibrant place it is today! Seeing the past allowed me to fully appreciate the growth and evolution of this charming town.
Oh, and how could I possibly forget about the breathtaking scenery? The picturesque surrounding countryside of Hertfordshire truly is a treat for the eyes! The vibrant hues of the autumn foliage painted a breathtaking backdrop for the entire town – it really is a beautiful place to unwind and soak in the atmosphere. 🍂
