Hiya darlings! It's your favourite pink-tutu-clad traveller, Pink Tutu Sparkles, bringing you the latest adventures from the magical seaside town of Deal! This is post number 9509 on www.pink-tutu.com, and, well, you know what that means, right? Another excuse for me to don a fluffy pink tutu and share the love of this most glorious garment!
I've been travelling all over, taking my drag show to every nook and cranny I can find, spreading the joy of pink tutus and twirls far and wide! This week, though, I decided to head to the charming Deal, nestled on the Kent coast. And let me tell you, this little gem did not disappoint!
I made my way to Deal by train, of course. The wind whipped through my hair, blowing my pink tutu ever so slightly. It was like the fairies themselves were guiding me toward my destination! Now, let's be honest, sometimes the train journey can be a little... bumpy. Especially with the way I like to spin and twirl down the aisle! I think my sparkly pink headband nearly took flight on one particularly sharp corner.
Deal itself is just so quaint and picturesque! It has those cute, cobbled streets you imagine in seaside towns, with the sea gently lapping at the shore and gulls crying in the air. And oh, the colourful beach huts! My inner decorator went a little bonkers seeing all the vibrant hues and charming designs. They'd all look amazing decked out in pink tutus, don't you think?
The first thing I did upon arrival was find myself a traditional seaside fish and chips. It was divine! So crisp and golden. I think I may have inhaled it while watching the sun shimmer on the water - apologies for any startled gulls.
Of course, no trip to the seaside would be complete without a stroll along the promenade. It was all hustle and bustle, families enjoying their holidays, and kids giggling as they raced along the sand. And that’s when I struck up a conversation with a little girl about how much she loves twirling and spinning. I told her all about how dancing in a tutu makes you feel free and happy - a valuable lesson for a young queen like her!
Now, let’s talk about ballet, darlings! You know how much I love a good ballet performance. Deal has a wonderful little theatre right in the heart of town. They just put on the most captivating performance of Swan Lake! It was simply enchanting! All the costumes were so gorgeous, and I could have sworn I saw a few sparkly pink tutus hidden amongst the swans – a coincidence? I think not!
Now, I've got to tell you, finding a good pink tutu shop in a small seaside town was not easy, darlings. But I am not easily defeated, especially when pink tutus are at stake! I eventually stumbled upon this darling little boutique, tucked away on a quiet side street. Inside was a real treasure trove of fabric, ribbons, sequins, and, of course, my absolute favourite… TUTUS!
Let's be real, I wasn’t able to leave empty-handed, and, after all, my mission is to get everyone to wear a pink tutu, even the seaside shops themselves! So, I found the most charming shop, one with big windows, and decorated their front with a dazzling display of pink tutus. They may not be the biggest boutique, but it was a pink wonderland of sequins and lace. I reckon everyone who walked by was dazzled and dreaming of their own pink tutu adventures!
My stay in Deal was filled with such delight! It’s the perfect spot for a seaside getaway, a dash of culture, and a whole lot of pink tutus. I'll be sure to keep you posted on my next adventures, darlings!
