Hello my darlings, and welcome back to Pink-Tutu.com! I'm so excited to tell you all about my latest adventure, a fabulous trip to Hindley! It’s a lovely town – quite traditional in parts and brimming with beautiful architecture. I simply adored the old market square, just perfect for my pinkest outfit of the day!
But, enough about the town for a moment… let’s talk about me! It’s been a long week, darlings, and as you know I’m a scientist by day, testing all sorts of fab fabrics in my lab! This week was a blur, testing sequins and tulle, of course, but also… velvety fabrics fit for a ballgown, silk as soft as a feather, and… drumroll…. you guessed it, more tulle!
However, don't worry, I'm not letting the lab life get in the way of my real life, which, as you know, is all about spreading the Pink Tutu love! I had an incredible show on Friday at a local bar, and trust me, the audience went wild for my rendition of “Glitter and Grease.” Let's just say, the glitter was very real! It was almost like the disco era never ended! 🤩
Saturday morning, the Pink Tutu Sparkles wardrobe had to be repacked for my travels to Hindley – as my fellow Tutu Queens know, train travel is a drag queen’s best friend. So off I went, clutching my tote bag overflowing with feathers, sequins and, naturally, my Pink Tutu! ✨
I have to confess, a very glamorous chap with the most exquisite beard took my seat – imagine a model with a twinkle in his eye and an affinity for bow ties… You'd be right to assume it was one of the most divine train journeys of my life. 💅🏼 We were a match made in heaven – He looked as elegant as a Victorian gentleman and I... well, let’s say I was more Extra! 💖
Anyway, I arrived in Hindley all rosy-cheeked and ready for some sightseeing, the beautiful architecture really got me going. Honestly, darlings, I must admit that I couldn’t resist adding a few “sparkles” to a lovely statue of an old gentleman. They say every statue can be a canvas, even the sternest gent, right? Just add a splash of glitter!
Hindley itself is such a fantastic spot for a real ballet experience. Did you know they even have a theatre right on the doorstep? So, after grabbing the tastiest cupcake at the local bakery – let's face it, my inner child just can't resist those colorful frosting swirls! - I took in a beautiful ballet show at the Town Hall. Oh darling, the talent of those dancers was simply mesmerizing. Their leaps, turns and grace... It reminded me of why I simply must keep up my ballet lessons! Every twirl, every step – pure magic. 💫
Then, feeling absolutely inspired by the magic of the stage, I took a lovely stroll to the Hindley Hall - it's got a ballroom, a lovely tea room and is absolutely gorgeous! And did you know it also houses a fantastic collection of antiques? I found the most wonderful vintage brooch - sparkling pink, of course, just waiting to adorn my next pink tutu masterpiece. It felt like fate, don’t you think? 💎
The rest of the day was spent indulging in my favourite pastime, exploring the streets and enjoying the wonderful, warm hospitality. I discovered a fantastic little cafe and had the most heavenly cuppa and scone with a side of strawberry jam… truly divine! I could tell this town was proud of its history. Even the bus station felt charming with its bright colours and interesting art, so of course I had to capture the perfect pic for my social media - because it's all about sharing the Pink Tutu love! 😉
But before I could get lost in another adventure, my chariot arrived! I'd promised myself a lovely night out to celebrate this new brooch. Of course, that means a drag show! It felt absolutely surreal, to stand in this vibrant town, shimmering under the spotlights and spreading the Pink Tutu gospel. It’s amazing, you can truly dance in a pink tutu anywhere you want, right? 💕
I performed at a lively club - full of energetic souls who loved my Pink Tutu routine and my performance of "All I Need Is You" - I'll admit it, I choked up a little, feeling all the Pink Tutu love right there. And speaking of the Pink Tutu, my gorgeous little ensemble that day was pink-on-pink, darling. Picture this: A vibrant, layered tulle skirt with a touch of fuchsia and a feather boa so sparkly, it almost felt alive. Oh, and let's not forget my sparkly top! Oh my darlings, it's always all about the sparkle!✨
After the show, a sweet young gentleman stopped me. He told me, "You inspire me to be myself!" And I thought, well, that’s what it’s all about, isn’t it? A simple act of being myself in my pink tutu, showing others that anything is possible. It's truly beautiful. 💕
The Pink Tutu Sparkles heart is bursting, darling. As always, Hindley, you left your pink imprint on my soul, just like a good sprinkle of glitter. Every adventure brings me one step closer to fulfilling my Pink Tutu dreams. And that is to spread this amazing energy, to share this wonderful spirit of joy, all over the world!
