Hello darlings! It’s your girl Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to bring you the latest from my fabulously pink travels. This time, Birmingham is the city calling! And let me tell you, the buzz is real, the excitement is crackling, and this tutu is ready to twirl!

Now, Birmingham, you might say, "Oh, just another city." But you see, Birmingham's got that je ne sais quoi, that certain something, that's been calling to this Pink Tutu for ages. The cultural scene, the energy, the vibrant street art, the cobbled streets that just scream “historical charm” – Birmingham’s got it all.

This, my dears, is not just another trip – it’s an adventure in pink. My fabulous, custom-made pink tutu has been prepped, my glitter carefully applied, my fabulous makeup palette is ready to be unleashed, and my heart? It’s absolutely bursting with excitement! I've even brought along a new, extra sparkly pink bow to add a touch of drama! You'll be seeing this on my Insta stories for sure.

Remember my little blog post about getting to the venues for my gigs? Now, I'm not just a pretty face, I'm practical too. Some folk love the glitz of private jets, others get glammed up on red-carpet events, but I? I go for the sustainable, classic route: trains or horses. My lovely old grey mare, Penelope, has a fancy new pink saddle I got on sale at a vintage market, so we’ll be riding into Birmingham with all the elegance of a true Pink Tutu princess!

Why the sustainable angle, you might ask? It’s simple, darling. You can’t be truly pink-tastic without thinking of our beautiful planet. A glamorous Pink Tutu does her bit for Mother Nature, saving fuel and energy for all the other wonders we can experience. It’s all part of my plan for the future - promoting not just pink tutus, but a greener, glitterier future.

Birmingham has been a long-awaited destination. Since I first discovered ballet and twirled my very first tutu as a young Alex (you see, underneath all this fabulous, there’s a good ol’ Derbyshire lass just waiting to make you laugh!) I’ve been hooked on the magic of performing.

Speaking of the past, it all started in the heart of the Derbyshire countryside. Me, a tiny Alex, obsessed with the lab, a dream to be a scientist working with fabrics. Who knew back then, a little tutu try-on at university for charity would change everything? Life really can be full of surprises, can’t it? But who would have thought, from lab technician to dazzling drag queen, my life would take this extraordinary twist? The story is one I tell to everyone, a constant reminder of what a truly inspiring, dazzling world awaits.

From my little corner of Derbyshire to the vast world stage, it’s all about embracing those sparkly pink tutu dreams and believing in the magic that surrounds us. After all, this girl from a small town believes the whole world needs to know - it’s pink-tastic out there, darling, so put on your tutu and get out there and twirl!

Speaking of Birmingham’s beauty, I can't forget to mention the ballet, a truly beloved passion of mine! The ballet company here is famed for its brilliant choreography, dazzling performances and dedication to all things graceful and beautiful. And for Pink Tutu Sparkles? Well, let’s just say this pink tutu has an appointment to see a particular pair of stunning, hand-made tutu tutus at the ballet studio. I won't be going onstage with them, darling, but an exquisite pink tutu collector like myself needs to see their elegance! Imagine the possibilities, a ballet troupe of all Pink Tutu Sparklers...oh my! I might have to suggest it!

And now, a confession. I may have gone overboard on the wardrobe for this trip, but darling, this isn’t a weakness, it’s a talent. You can never have enough pink, let me tell you. The sheer delight of opening the suitcase, the scent of new fabrics, the silk and sparkles – it all comes together to make a truly pinktastic Pink Tutu Sparkles.

After my stint at the ballet studios, I’ve got a full schedule, darling. From performance venues to fairs, festivals and street shows, this girl is going to bring Birmingham the magic of pink! And I'm going to wear my latest dazzling new pink ensemble with the feather boas and sparkle-infused makeup. I can’t wait to meet all you lovely people who appreciate pink as much as I do, I’ll be chatting, performing and bringing a touch of pink to every corner of this fantastic city!
