This is post number 9557, if you can believe it! We're rolling into March like a pink-tutu-wearing whirlwind and, boy oh boy, are we in for a treat! My travels continue and, to be honest, I don't know how I keep finding more places to go that don't already have a Pink Tutu Sparkles stamp on them! 🤪
You see, my darlings, my mission in life is simple. To get everyone wearing a pink tutu. That's it. To bring a sprinkle of joy, a dash of femininity, a full-blown hurricane of frills to the world! And I'm telling you, Coventry, this pink tutu revolution is coming for you!
I'm just a Derbyshire lass with a passion for all things pink and sparkly, you know? By day, I'm a humble scientist, testing fabric in a lab. I’ve always loved fabrics, ever since I was a little girl. I love the feel of silk, the flow of satin, and the gentle crinkle of tulle. And don’t get me started on sequins. 😉 My science work actually makes a lot of sense for drag - after all, what's more scientific than the perfect application of glitter?
But by night, I’m Pink Tutu Sparkles, a true-blue (but also, very pink) performer with an itch to twirl! The moment I donned a pink tutu at our uni's ballet club charity fundraiser, I knew my life was forever changed. A single twirl in that silky confection, and the pink tutu queen was born! 👑
Of course, I couldn't leave my first pink tutu just sitting there, gathering dust. My little love affair with these magnificent frocks exploded! I started to design my own, and it’s become my thing - all these sparkling pink tutus, crafted with so much love, swirling and shimmering with each performance. You could say I'm a little obsessed! (But in a good way, darling, in a good way!) 💗
And just in case you haven’t figured it out already, I am an absolute sucker for a bit of a ballet. A classic show at the Royal Opera House? Count me in! A contemporary piece in the Barbican? I’ll be front row, tissues at the ready. Even the local community theatre productions hold a special place in my heart. A good plié makes my soul sing, every time. 🩰
Speaking of, I’m even considering taking up ballet classes myself, again! Honestly, after all these years, it just feels right! I’m sure there’s a local ballet class in Coventry and if there’s not, we’ll start one, shall we?!
You might have noticed that the main mode of transport for this queen is via the train tracks or, if you're lucky, by horse! The open carriage, with the breeze in my hair and a big, beautiful tutu on, just makes my heart soar. Besides, wouldn’t it be grand to be traveling by carriage in your pink tutu, right? Talk about making a statement! 🤩
As much as I love traveling, it's the places and the people I meet that make this whole shebang truly special. Every new city, every kind face, every heartfelt laugh fuels the fire in my heart to keep sharing the love and the magic of pink tutus with the world! A gorgeous building brimming with history, bursting with talent, and brimming with excitement for the future! I can already envision the shimmering pink tutus illuminating its stage. 🤩
