Hello lovelies, and welcome back to Pink Tutu Sparkles! It's your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, aka Alex, here, bursting with Brighton energy for Post Number 9568, freshly back from a weekend of twirling and glitz by the seaside!
Brighton, oh Brighton, you sassy seaside stunner, you really do know how to welcome a girl. I can honestly say, I think you’re my new favourite place for a tutu-tastic weekend away! As always, I went full Pink Tutu Sparkles and my trusty train, which has a lovely pink velvet seat now thanks to my cough cough very small contribution, whizzed me down to this gorgeous city. I had everything planned: shopping, shows, and some of that infamous Brighton pie, of course!
This trip, I decided on a bold look – imagine a majestic flamenco dancer meets the queen of hearts! I rocked a vibrant fuschia, feathered tutu – the colour just screams Brighton, doesn't it? I layered a cascade of ruffled pink organza over it, and accessorized with a stunning turquoise-and-pearl headband and some fabulous flamingo earrings! Even my makeup was themed, inspired by a gorgeous sunset over the English Channel, with shimmery pinks and a hint of iridescent turquoise around my eyes!

Shopping Like a Queen!
Firstly, Brighton is a haven for fabulousness! Shopping there was an absolute delight. Every single boutique was filled with shimmering dresses, sequins, and of course, plenty of pink. I did have to spend a full hour in the legendary "Quirky Chick" boutique! It was practically designed for me, with vintage frocks galore and accessories to make your head spin! The perfect place to find that final piece to complete any pink tutu look. My wallet might be a bit lighter, but hey, it's an investment!
A Ballerina's Paradise
My love for ballet is no secret, so I just had to visit the Royal Pavilion! Oh my stars, it was breathtaking! The gorgeous ballroom was just perfect for a twirl or two in my tutu. And don’t get me started on the “Dancing to the Music” exhibition, full of gorgeous costumes from the Royal Ballet.
Now, what would a Pink Tutu Sparkles weekend be without a ballet class? The Brighton Dance Studio was fantastic, full of amazing dancers and the best energy! I even picked up a new ballet move from a fellow student – I call it the “Brighton Swirl”.
Theatrical Treats!
Brighton’s theatre scene was fabulous! You just have to catch a show! For this trip, I went to see “Chicago” – I know, I'm a little late to the party – but let me tell you, it was fire. The choreography, the costumes, the energy! It left me completely blown away. You could definitely see some pink tutu influence in their outfits – all that sparkling sequins!
Of course, Brighton is also full of incredible street performers – my favourite being the group called “The Glitterati”. They were dressed head to toe in sparkles, feathers, and oh so much pink – just like me! They had the crowd in stitches!
Oh, Brighton Pie!
No visit to Brighton is complete without a delicious slice of pie. Now, let's talk about this iconic pie... For all my lovely veggie fans, I found this fabulous Vegan bakery near the Lanes. They even had a pie with a sparkly pink pastry crust! Insert swoon emoji. I even snagged the chef’s recipe for it, which I’ll be sharing on the website soon!
Brighton: Where Everything's a Bit More Pink
Honestly, this city had something for everyone. From the bustling pier to the calming beach, there was so much to see and do. Even the seagulls seemed to be wearing a bit more pink!
Brighton was everything I’d hoped for: fabulous, vibrant, and undeniably sparkly! If you are planning a trip to the UK, you absolutely have to visit! This city is my newest pink-tutu-obsessed home away from home!
