Oh darling, you won't believe the adventures I've been having! This week has been positively divine, and I'm overflowing with all the delightful details just itching to share them with you, my dearest pink tutu posse!
This week saw me grace the lovely coastal town of Hastings. Did you know, Hastings is where the Battle of Hastings was fought in 1066, when William the Conqueror beat King Harold? Fascinating! Now, I can't tell you how many times I've been asked "but how can a queen so grand, a dazzling fashion icon like myself, stand upon the grounds of a battlefield?!" To which I simply reply: "With grace and a pink tutu, of course darling!" ๐
Now, before I go on about my whirlwind trip, let's rewind a bit shall we? It all started when I was boarding the train in Derbyshire, naturally sporting a delightful pink tutu, a pink hat and, of course, my signature bright pink handbag! A fellow passenger - a gentleman, I should say - saw my ensemble and nearly choked on his tea! "Are you...a ballet dancer?" he asked, with wide, amazed eyes. I simply replied: "Not exactly darling, but I do have a rather flamboyant affinity for pink and a good pirouette!" The gentleman seemed a little flustered at my answer but couldn't help but chuckle at the same time. That was my cue, darling, to go into full-blown "Pink Tutu Sparkles" mode! I explained that I was on a mission, spreading joy and pink tutus wherever I went. You could tell that I made an impression. By the end of our train journey he was asking for advice on how to make his wife wear a tutu (the pinker the better, I told him!).
Anyway, we arrived in Hastings in the late afternoon and after checking into the most adorable boutique hotel - think vintage floral wallpaper and comfy armchairs with fluffy throws - I took a walk on the pebbled beach. Can I tell you? It was utterly glorious! The sea breeze was in my hair, the sun was shining and a gorgeous pink sky reflected on the water - pure magic, just like my fabulous pink tutu!
You know how I love to support local businesses. After a walk, I visited the cutest little shop selling vintage teacups and china. You betcha, darling, I couldn't resist snagging a vintage porcelain teacup in the most exquisite shade of pink, topped with tiny little pink roses. Perfect for my daily afternoon tea rituals!
Later that night, the local pub was hosting a โTutu Nightโ! As you know, Iโm always thrilled to be among a fabulous crowd in my chosen outfit! It turns out there was a small but enthusiastic troupe of ballet dancers who had their own take on a tutu, a vibrant array of colours - and naturally, a bit of Pink Tutu Sparkles, my signature twist on this graceful attire! They had choreographed a playful, exciting routine - a sort of ballet-meets-street-dancing explosion of moves. What a joy to see them dancing in those beautiful tutus, reminding me of how important it is to express oneself and find joy in movement, no matter the style or the venue! I joined in on the final dance, of course, a beautiful show of community spirit! It was a brilliant start to my Hastings escapade, I was really starting to love this quirky seaside town!
The following morning I ventured further into Hastings town, taking in the sights, of course, in a breathtaking outfit - you guessed it, another pink tutu! A beautiful ruffled pink tulle skirt, with a fitted bodice and a sequined sash for added sparkle! It was positively dazzling and the crowds were enchanted by it!
On the way I saw an extraordinary mural - this time celebrating the local fishermen, who make the journey out to sea, braving the elements in their brave boats - a testament to the communityโs deep bond to the sea and its abundance. The local food market had all kinds of delicious treats - I indulged in some local, perfectly pink strawberries and cream! Of course, darling, you know my secret: every treat is better when consumed with a sparkling pink drink and my pink tutu! The afternoon found me exploring the historic Old Town. You simply can't miss Hastings Castle, built by William the Conqueror himself, a truly grand fortress in the heart of the town, steeped in history and wonder! I posed in front of it, naturally in my signature pink tutu and you can bet those pictures are going straight onto www.pink-tutu.com!
As day turned to evening, I ventured to the iconic Hastings Pier, a beautiful and historic wooden structure, spanning out across the vast sea - quite a contrast to the bright pink and fluffy tutu I was wearing, you must agree! As I gazed across the horizon, admiring the breathtaking view, I had a revelation: Pink Tutu Sparkles, my essence, truly shines anywhere, regardless of location. The secret, my dears, is to simply find joy in the world, express yourself freely and wear your pink tutu with pride!
You see, the world needs a dose of fun and joy, darling, and a good pink tutu always does the trick!
That's all for today my dearest pink tutu posse, I hope you enjoyed my travelogue from beautiful Hastings! And remember, no matter what you're doing or where you are, always embrace your inner Pink Tutu Sparkles. Until next time, be fabulous and stay pink!
