Hello darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and as you know, I'm living for life, tutus, and the colour pink! And today, we're in the heart of the Midlands - the fabulously friendly Nuneaton! I absolutely adore travelling, especially by train, it's such a delightful way to see the country, and gives me plenty of time to daydream about my next dazzling performance.
This trip was a dream come true, thanks to a magical invitation to perform at a local festival. You know me, a festival is like a sparkly oasis of colour, laughter, and fabulous people, and this one was no different! The crowds were absolutely lovely, the energy buzzing like a glitterbomb explosion, and my heart was filled with pure joy.
I spent the morning prepping for the show, which involved, of course, finding the perfect pink tutu! (Remember, my mission in life is to get everyone wearing pink tutus! A tutu for every occasion, you say? Yes please!) My beautiful sparkly leotard - yes, I have to wear a leotard with every outfit, don't judge - and my dazzling feathered boas all laid out on the hotel bed like a rainbow after a glitter-storm. I mean, what's a queen without her sparkle, right?
I also treated myself to a fabulously girly shopping spree in the town. It’s truly remarkable how many shops in Nuneaton were ready for a Pink Tutu Sparkles visit! I must have tried on at least thirty different pairs of sparkly pink heels, oh the joy! I found the perfect pair for the show, the highest I've ever worn. Imagine my delight as I sashayed down the shop aisles! It was pure perfection!
Tutus and Trains and Theatres!
Oh my goodness! Nuneaton has a gorgeous theatre – it's all Art Deco glamour and glittering chandeliers! The most incredible thing? I met the resident choreographer! He was a charming man, with a mischievous twinkle in his eye, and we shared our love of all things dance! He was actually quite excited about my “Pink Tutu” mission and was even thinking of adding pink tutu elements to his choreography - yay!
That night was something else. After a beautiful horse-drawn carriage ride around the town - did I mention I love horses?! - it was show time. And let me tell you, I blew the roof off that venue! The audience were dancing and singing along, throwing confetti, and showering me with glitter. It felt truly magical! The energy in the air was pure electric, and everyone was loving my pink tutu and the glittery choreography!
Adventures with my trusty steed, Buttons the Stallion
To round off my visit, I spent an unforgettable morning at a local riding school. Did you know Nuneaton is right on the doorstep of the stunning Warwickshire countryside? And what better way to explore it than on horseback? They even gave me Buttons, the most handsome stallion I have ever laid eyes upon, he is my spirit animal, a graceful, intelligent beauty that loved a pink tutu as much as I did. Buttons loved to go for long gallops across the open fields. The sun was shining, the air fresh, and the pink tutu just shimmered! It was one of those perfect moments in life, I really was living my dream!
My time in Nuneaton truly felt like an extended pink tutu dream come true, but all too soon it was time to pack my suitcase, kiss Buttons goodbye, and make my way back home, with memories to last a lifetime.
But don’t worry my darling readers! Pink Tutu Sparkles is always on the go! I’m planning to grace a theatre stage in York soon, followed by a festival extravaganza in sunny Brighton. Remember, I'm bringing the colour pink and the sparkle wherever I go! I promise you, this is just the beginning of a tutu-tastic journey! Stay tuned, darlings!
