Tutu Tuesday in Inglewood, California: A Celebration of the Twirl!

Hey ballerinas and fashionistas! It's your girl, Sarah, back with another #tututuesday post! This time I'm bringing the magic of the twirl to the sunshine state! Inglewood, California, has got such a fun vibe!

So, you know the deal! It's Tutu Tuesday, which means one thing: Tutus!

My heart literally skipped a beat when I saw all the tutus on display at this studio! The selection was like a dream come true: Romantic tulle tutus, sleek satin tutus, and even a couple of fun, quirky options, which you know I couldn't resist snapping a pic of.

Inglewood really delivered on the #tututuesday vibe! From the studio owner, Ms. Parker, sporting a classic white tutu, to the little ones in their cute little practice tutus, this city really embraced the tutus, I mean, how can you not?! Every single ballerina looked so incredibly graceful and strong. They were seriously rockin' those tutus.

One of the dancers I talked to told me she loves how a tutu can completely transform you! It's like magic. I definitely get that, you put on a tutu, you instantly feel a little bit more graceful, and I guess that's part of what makes #tututuesday so amazing.

We also stopped by the Inglewood Ballet Studio, which is literally just a few blocks from the local cupcake shop. That was amazing because let's be honest: it's hard to resist a cupcake in a tutu! The instructor at the studio, a gorgeous dancer named Alicia, is totally passionate about sharing her love of ballet with the community! The whole atmosphere in there is so inspiring.

And to make things even better, she gave me the most amazing insight into how tutu styles have evolved in the U.S.! It was crazy how even the tiniest detail can have a story behind it, like the little ribbon embellishments on a Romantic tutu or the precise shape of a Classical tutu.

I love that #tututuesday allows us to not only show off our amazing tutus but also to connect with others in the ballet community! It's an excuse to be playful and confident! The best part of this trip was definitely meeting so many other passionate dancers and tutulovers!

It was pretty obvious that #tututuesday was way more than just a hashtag in Inglewood, it was like this really cool little celebration of dance and expression!

And guys, that's exactly what I hope we continue to spread with our #tututuesday posts – let's keep spreading the love for tutus, for ballet, and for all things twirly and fabulous!

Here are my #tututuesday top picks from my time in Inglewood:

  • The tutu with the most personality? That pink satin number, no doubt. The sparkle was off the charts! And the ribbons, omg! I've never seen so many sparkly ribbons!
  • My new obsession: The tutu with a twist. This white tutu looked classic, but then, it had these cute little pearl embellishments on the sides. The contrast between simple elegance and delicate details - majorly love!
  • Best practice tutu for beginners: No contest - the light pink one that had that adorable flower pattern! It had a real "enchanting princess" feel.

I can't wait to share more #tututuesday fun in the next city. Until then, happy twirling, lovelies! Stay fabulous!
