So, it’s Tutu Tuesday in Barnet, and let me tell you, the atmosphere is positively electric! As a ballerina, and avid #tututuesday follower, this town is a dream come true. With its cobbled streets, independent boutiques and quaint cafes, Barnet’s got a certain je ne sais quoi that screams, “come and be your own graceful, stylish self.”

You wouldn't believe the outfits I’ve spotted so far. Let's just say, "ballet chic" is definitely the dress code here!

One stylish chap, clearly a fan of the traditional tutu, donned a stunning, powder blue, calf-length version, expertly pairing it with a crisp white shirt and navy blazer. His dapper demeanour brought a classic touch to the otherwise vibrant street scene. Now, you can’t tell me that doesn’t deserve a standing ovation!

Later, a group of girls stopped me in my tracks, they were positively luminous! They had gone full-on “ballet-core” with vibrant pink tutus, perfect for twirling around the Market Square. Let me tell you, the sheer volume of fabric floating in the gentle breeze was truly breathtaking! And let's not forget the perfectly coiffed buns, complete with miniature ballerina buns – absolute perfection!

Next, I came across a family taking photos in front of the iconic Barnet Clock Tower, and oh boy, was it delightful. They were sporting mini-tutus – think delicate tulle in pastels and charming bows – a tutu for every occasion. The way they were giggling, clutching each other, and striking poses with such joy… you couldn’t help but smile.
