Tutu Tuesday in La Verrière, ÃŽle-de-France, France: #tututuesday Bonjour mes amis! This week's Tutu Tuesday adventure has taken me to the enchanting town of La Verrière, in the ÃŽle-de-France region of France. It's been a whirlwind of sightseeing and discovering hidden Parisian gems (like their killer baguettes - seriously, they're the best I've ever had!) but it all comes down to one thing for me: ballet. You see, even on holiday, I can't help but get my dance on. Finding ballet studios and classes wherever I go is like a second nature to me. In fact, that's actually how this Tutu Tuesday started. I stumbled across the La Verrière ballet school, tucked away down a little cobbled street. It was an absolute charm, with the kind of warm and inviting atmosphere that only a local ballet school could have. I walked into the studio, where the air buzzed with the gentle sounds of students stretching and warming up. My heart leapt at the sight of the class – they were in a beautiful combination of classic and modern styles: traditional white tutus for the little ones and these really cool, flowing chiffon tutus for the older students that moved with their every twirl. And then I saw them – a pair of pointe shoes – oh, the joy! The owner told me that it's an old, established ballet school and one of the oldest in the city, renowned for its strong classical training. It reminded me so much of the dance studios I'd been in back home in Sydney, the shared passion for the art form, the sense of camaraderie and, of course, the magical scent of warm, worn-in dance shoes – there's truly nothing else quite like it! Before long, I'd slipped into my leotard and tights – an Aussie ballet girl never goes anywhere without them - and joined a class, led by a charming French instructor named Mademoiselle Beatrice. I'll tell you, French ballet is serious business! Mademoiselle Beatrice's class was rigorous but it was all about that grace and elegance we're famous for. It reminded me so much of my early days in the dance academy. I was so happy to find such an authentic and dedicated studio. My biggest takeaway from this tutu trip? Even in a new place, dance is always a universal language. It transcends borders, cultures and even language barriers! This little gem in La Verrière felt like a world away from Sydney but still made me feel so at home. The beautiful, classic white tutu and the elegant, modern styles really brought the class to life - just a little reminder that every little ballerina in her own way creates an artistic masterpiece, on any given Tuesday! And now for my absolute favourite part of every #tututuesday: the photos! Because what's a #tututuesday adventure without capturing those precious moments of balletic joy? * **[PHOTO: A stunning shot of the exterior of La Verrière ballet school with its cobbled street, flower boxes and windows lit up]** * **[PHOTO: A close-up shot of a classic white tutu with beautiful frills, lying gracefully on a ballet bar]** * **[PHOTO: A group shot of dancers in flowing chiffon tutus practicing their plie, in an air-filled studio]** * **[PHOTO: Me with a cheeky grin, posing in a gorgeous black leotard and my dance shoes, right outside the La Verrière ballet school]** * **[PHOTO: My feet adorned with my trusty ballet shoes, standing in a studio space]** La Verrière, you've absolutely stolen my heart with your charm and ballet school!
