Tutu Tuesday in Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, Quebec: A Tutu-tastic Day Out
Hey fellow dance enthusiasts and fashionistas! It's your girl, Anya, back with another blog post about all things tutu-licious. This week, I took a trip to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, Quebec, and let me tell you, it was a real #Tututuesday treat.
Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré is a picturesque town nestled in the heart of Quebec, famous for its basilica, breathtaking scenery, and… you guessed it… the ballet scene! Okay, maybe not that last one, but the ballet spirit was definitely in the air!
Now, let’s talk about tutus! I can’t go anywhere without a touch of tutu magic, especially not a place as stunning as Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré. I decided to rock a classic Romantic tutu. It's a fluffy and ethereal design, perfect for twirling around in front of the beautiful basilica. Plus, I think it brought out the romantic side of my personality, and what's a trip to a historical site without a little bit of romanticism? ?
Of course, I had to take some pics. You can’t visit a place this magical without immortalizing it on Insta. #TutuTuesday was trending, and let’s just say, my feed went from "Oh-la-la, this view is pretty," to "Girl, you’re killin' it in that tutu!"
So what’s a Tutu Tuesday in Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré like? Here's the rundown:
- A little ballet in the basilica. I wasn't going to full-on dance the Swan Lake in the middle of the basilica, but I did indulge in a bit of ballet-inspired movement by the stained-glass windows. Okay, I was mainly just practicing my relevés, but hey, gotta keep the skills sharp!
- Tutu-fied touristy fun. Let’s be honest, when you’re dressed up in a tutu, you’re practically a walking invitation for people to compliment your style. People stopped me for pics, chatted about ballet, and I even got a thumbs-up from a biker gang (not kidding). Turns out, tutus have a universal appeal. Who knew?
- Tutu twirling by the waterfall. The basilica is lovely, but nothing beats nature, so I had to check out the stunning Montmorency Falls. Those falls are majestic, and my tutu was ready to fly! It was like a scene out of a fairytale, and of course, I had to make it into a #TutuTuesday memory.
- A tutu-tastic meal. Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré is known for its amazing food scene. And no tutu Tuesday trip is complete without a hearty, Canadian-style meal. I opted for a decadent poutine—you know, fries, gravy, cheese curds, the whole shebang. I figured, "if I’m twirling around in a tutu all day, I gotta fuel up." ?
What I learned:
- A tutu can make you feel like royalty anywhere. Don’t be afraid to embrace the fairytale magic!
- Tutu Tuesday is truly an international movement. You're not the only one dancing to the rhythm of life, rocking a tutu, and sharing your love for ballet. #Tututuesday is bringing the world together one tulle layer at a time!
- Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré is a place that sparks creativity and invites you to step outside the box. Plus, they have good poutine.
So if you’re looking for an adventure that combines your love for ballet and travel, you have to visit Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré. Just don't forget to bring your Tutu!
Now, tell me about your #TutuTuesday adventures! What's your go-to tutu style? Where have you taken it for a spin?
Stay glamorous, everyone. ?
