Hello my dearest tutu-lovers! Emma here, ready to twirl you straight into the heart of Vienna, Austria! 🩰🇦🇹 It's Wednesday, and you know what that means… time for a fresh dose of #PinkTutuVienna!
This week, my journey has brought me to the city of music, waltzes, and yes, you guessed it, beautiful tutus! My heart has been doing a joyful pirouette ever since I arrived. From the grand palaces to the charming cafes, Vienna exudes an air of elegance and grace, making it the perfect destination for a tutu-wearing traveller like me!
But let's rewind a bit, shall we?
Last week, I had the absolute pleasure of performing at the annual Derbyshire County Fair. Imagine, me, twirling under the warm summer sun, with the sounds of the fairground swirling around me - it was magical! And of course, my tutu was the perfect shade of pastel pink, blending effortlessly into the playful atmosphere. Not only did it make me feel like a princess, but it also garnered some incredible applause from the audience!
The best part of these local performances? They fund my travel adventures, my darlings!
Speaking of which, arriving in Vienna felt like stepping straight into a fairytale. The train journey was filled with stunning scenery and the most adorable local delicacies - I just had to share a photo of my afternoon tea in a gorgeous vintage train carriage on my Instagram (don’t forget to follow @PinkTutuEmma for more travel snaps!)
Vienna has been captivating my senses from the very moment I stepped out of the station. The aroma of Viennese coffee beans filled the air, enticing me into the quaintest cafes with the most charming pink decor. It’s as if the whole city has been meticulously crafted to resonate with my #PinkTutuVibes.
And let’s not forget about the city's ballet scene, darlings!
On my first evening in Vienna, I had the honour of seeing the famous Vienna State Ballet perform "Swan Lake" at the grand Vienna State Opera House. Just imagine: the ornate interior, the twinkling chandeliers, and the incredible choreography. I was utterly mesmerized! I've always adored the grace of classical ballet, and watching such talented dancers take to the stage was an absolute joy.
Speaking of ballet, Vienna has such a rich history in this art form! From the Vienna State Opera, with its stunning architecture, to the more intimate theaters hosting lesser-known ballets - I’m just smitten by this city’s love of ballet!
Naturally, I’ve been exploring all the tutu-related delights Vienna has to offer. Yesterday, I discovered a hidden treasure: a beautiful vintage tutu shop! Imagine, rows and rows of tutus from different eras, with an array of colours that could satisfy any tutu lover! Of course, I had to indulge in a few new additions to my own collection. Let’s just say, my wardrobe has never looked so fabulous!
But my exploration of Vienna wouldn't be complete without a taste of the city’s charming fashion scene, wouldn't it? Vienna's fashion boutiques are bursting with elegant dresses and trendy accessories.
And who can resist a good old fashion show, darling?
I was lucky enough to attend a local designer’s show last night, and it was incredible! I was in awe of the craftsmanship, the creativity, and of course, the models wearing the most incredible ensembles. And of course, the finale featured a beautiful ballerina twirling in a pink tutu, reminding everyone why we're here! I must say, I find there’s a hint of magic in the air when a ballerina takes the stage!

Vienna truly is a city that makes me feel like I’m living in a romantic movie. Each day, I discover something new and exciting that makes my heart soar with happiness.
Speaking of adventures, this Saturday, I'm going on a guided horse-drawn carriage ride through the stunning Schönbrunn Palace Gardens! Can you picture it, darling? A leisurely ride in a carriage pulled by beautiful horses, adorned in pink ribbons, of course, while I twirl my pink tutu. I am positively ecstatic!
My dearest readers, Vienna has already stolen a piece of my heart, and I know it will continue to surprise and inspire me until it’s time to journey on to my next ballet adventure.
