Hello my dearest Tutu-tastic readers! It's Wednesday, the sun is shining, and Emma's here from her Vienna adventure, ready to paint your day in a glorious shade of pink!
This week, Vienna has embraced me like a long-lost waltz partner! I'm buzzing with excitement from the cobbled streets, the decadent architecture, and, most importantly, the endless possibilities for tutu-rific adventures. 💖
The Magic of a City of Music and MayhemVienna, you see, is a city of incredible contrasts. You have your majestic palaces, like Schönbrunn, that whisk you back to royal times (think: waltzing balls and silk dresses!), and then you have street performers spinning stories and dreams on every corner. It’s like a theatrical performance is happening every single second!
It’s all about those wonderful contrasts in life that inspire us, isn’t it? For instance, I was feeling particularly glamorous this morning, and strutted through the city centre with my fluffy pink tutu and an antique carriage. You see, you can go from majestic waltzing to playful fun, in Vienna, just by hopping on a carriage! (Do give them a tip though!)
Vienna's Ballet Gems 🩰💎You know me and my ballet passion! This city is a ballet lover's paradise! Yesterday, I found myself at the Vienna State Opera House, catching the final act of 'Swan Lake'. Oh my, those costumes, those emotions, those pirouettes! The dancers truly transformed into graceful swans, soaring through the stage with such beauty and precision. The entire performance made my heart sing!
Now, Vienna's got a whole array of ballets - and there are even street performers with amazing routines! The other day, I met a group of students who, in tutus of course (we even matched pink hues!) We did a impromptu waltz together right in the middle of Stephansplatz, drawing delighted cheers from the crowd. That's the magic of tutus! They can inspire joy anywhere, anytime.
My Viennese Shopping SpreeMy tutu closet is getting an upgrade! Vienna's a treasure trove of unique finds. From vintage boutiques to grand department stores, it's impossible to resist a few (or several) adorable accessories for my ever-growing collection! I'm especially fond of the beautifully handcrafted jewellery and handmade headbands in the traditional Viennese style, a delicate touch of pink that will be perfectly complementing to all my Vienna memories. My favorite store? A hidden gem on Graben - a boutique overflowing with tulle, ribbons, and feathers in every color imaginable - I nearly went into a twirling frenzy!
Horse-Powered Adventures and the Joy of TravelYou can't have a trip to Vienna without experiencing a ride on the Vienna Classic Cars. I have to say, traveling on a horse-drawn carriage while wearing my fluffy tutu through the stunning avenues was a fairytale come true! The rhythm of the horses, the gentle sway of the carriage, and the sunshine dancing through the trees… it's something you can’t write in a blog! It's something you simply have to experience! It is exactly what I envisioned when I started traveling on this extraordinary journey that started in Derbyshire!
Vienna is a city that captures my heart with every twist and turn!
