This month marks post number 1918 for Pink Tutu Travels - isn't it divine that we've reached this milestone together? Just think of all the magical moments we've shared: gliding through time, soaking up the wonders of leotard fashion throughout the ages! It wouldn't be possible without each and every one of you lovely lot joining me on this enchanting adventure. So, a massive thank you to each and every one of you. I can't wait for all the adventures to come!
I am truly blessed that my latest performance in Sheffield was a sell-out, leaving a little bit of sparkle wherever I twirled! It was so lovely seeing all those smiling faces as I pirouetted in my cherry pink sequined leotard with the most fabulous tulle skirt (my latest creation – it just shimmers with every movement!). I can't tell you how much it means to me to spread my love for pink and tutus across the land (and occasionally beyond)! It’s true what they say - there is nothing quite like seeing people’s faces light up as they watch you move with your heart and soul. I’m lucky that my dancing skills are more than capable of making enough dosh to continue on these fab time-traveling adventures, so you know it will keep going for a long time yet, my dears. I'm so very lucky to have a passion so special and inspiring. It’s no wonder I keep dancing my heart out - and what could be more magical than traveling through time in a pink sparkly leotard?! It’s just plain brilliant, darling.
Speaking of dancing my heart out - you simply wouldn’t believe what was on in the world of leotard fashion on this very date in history! It was an absolute fashion extravaganza, my dears. We've had some truly dazzling fashion eras in leotard history, but October 2018 certainly deserves a grand standing ovation.
Time Travel Fashion - October 2018:
As soon as I zipped myself into my pink shimmering leotard (oh, the thrill of time travel, isn't it amazing!), I was transported straight to a glittering ballet academy. From the moment I stepped out of my time machine, my ears were filled with the joyful, vibrant sounds of talented young dancers – oh, it just made me beam! But it wasn't just any old ballet class; the studio was bursting with colours and styles that just screamed "October 2018!" From daringly beautiful velvet leotards with plunging necklines to the vibrant, colourful dancewear styles, with those lovely leotard designs incorporating stylish strappy backs - they were just everything. And of course, the all-time classic – the soft, chic pink and purple leotard pairing, so universally elegant and flattering. It was a true masterpiece. I’m quite sure those lucky dancers were floating on cloud nine – or rather, pink clouds, to be precise. I couldn’t resist taking a quick whirl around the studio; there’s nothing like joining a dance class in full pink tulle, especially in this wonderful vibrant, fun atmosphere!
It wasn't just in ballet studios that the leotard was rocking in October 2018, my darlings. Everywhere I turned, I found fashion's love affair with this magical garment spreading like wildfire – literally, it’s true! The most exquisite leotards graced catwalks worldwide, proving that even in 2018, they're not just for dancing! Oh, and talking of catwalks... You know I had to indulge in a spot of shopping while I was there, right?! You can't deny my innate love for a little bit of retail therapy; the "leotard love" truly caught me up in a delightful whirl, but after some deep breaths I managed to resist the call to buy the entire shop. Just a little one, darlings. Whispers
From the delicate lace and satin of the evening wear, oh, it was breathtakingly gorgeous, the simple yet classy street styles for a modern, sophisticated feel, even some of the leotards that I discovered were absolutely fabulous, perfect for all sorts of everyday wear! One particularly stunning example I came across was the sleek black and gold leotard paired with an elegant gold scarf, oozing luxurious femininity. It’s the sort of ensemble I would adore strutting about London town in. But in truth, I loved every style I spotted in that shop - just a truly beautiful selection of the finest, most comfortable, and most vibrant leotard creations – from the elegant, romantic, to the daring and trendy!
The wonderful, flamboyant street-style fashion in 2018 is definitely one to be noted. You might find a dancer rocking a funky black and silver leotard with some killer red platforms. Just look for the stylish women that make street-style their personal runway! Leotards really are just perfect - whatever you choose, be brave and let the fabulous designs shine through! Remember darlings, every single one of you deserves to wear a leotard and feel utterly amazing – it’s truly magical and a perfect reflection of every incredible personality and style out there!
