It's a privilege to take you all on a whirlwind trip through time, from the glittering stages of yore to the vibrant streets of today - all in the name of spreading the joy of dance, the elegance of ballet, and, of course, the ultimate, unforgettable magic of pink tutus!

Today, I'm hopping into my time-travelling leotard, and it's a doozy, girls - imagine a symphony of pink sequins shimmering under the summer sun, and you'll be close! As always, I'm on a mission to explore the history of our beloved leotard and bring back the hottest trends to share with you all.

So, darlings, buckle up because today's date, 2040.07.00, is going to be a dazzling voyage! It’s a date, that as you may imagine, is in the future, from my little slice of Derbyshire, England. And oh my, let me tell you, the fashion in 2040 is absolutely captivating!

We’re talking about a new wave of tech-infused leotards - glowing fabrics, leotards that adjust to the dancer’s body temperature, even leotards that project custom choreography onto the stage, creating mesmerizing visuals. They have come a long way, these leotards, my loves! Imagine: a leotard that's a mix of cutting edge fashion and practical dance wear? It’s simply stunning!

And the tutus! Well, let’s just say tutus have never looked so…well, futuristic! There were 3D-printed tutus that changed their design mid-performance, glowing tutus that lit up entire stages, and even interactive tutus that responded to the audience’s emotions. I have to say, girls, the possibilities are simply endless!

And as if this isn’t enough, 2040.07.00 marks the first annual World Tutu Day. I mean, you can't have a better celebration of all things girly and fun, can you?! Imagine - every corner of the globe bursting with pink tutus. It's going to be amazing, and I just know I'll be there, front and centre, my own little pink tutu beaming under the spotlight!

But it's not all about future tech, my dears. You can't beat classic elegance, the sort of style that never fades away! As my mission in life is to get everyone wearing a pink tutu, it's my duty to keep track of all the different looks and fashions out there, so you can too, from those timeless styles to the futuristic wonders of tomorrow!

Here are a few recent finds that I have been swooning over! First up, I had the absolute pleasure of attending the grand reopening of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. The exhibit on Leotard History, oh it was such a delight! The museum dedicated an entire room to the evolution of leotards!

But wait, there’s more! Imagine, a vintage leotard from the early 20th century with a playful floral design - such charming! A bold leotard, designed with laser cut technology with geometric lines - it felt both chic and contemporary, simply sensational! And for a moment of true indulgence, a dazzling leotard crafted from hand-woven silk – a pure feast for the senses, that one!

This week, I also fell head over heels for the newly launched ‘Bloom and Dance’ leotard line. Think bold, floral patterns with vibrant colours! Each piece celebrates individuality and freedom, truly capturing the essence of dancing with confidence.

My absolute favourite, and I think it should be your’s too, is their ‘Whimsical Rose’ design. A dreamy combination of flowing petals in shades of rose, lilac and magenta, it’s truly captivating. The perfect blend of playful femininity and sophistication! Oh, it’s going to make such a stunning addition to my leotard collection, trust me!

This month, I’ve also been on the go, spreading the pink tutu message to every corner of the world! You see, I make my living with my dance moves, and not by being some snooty high-society ballerina. It's my favourite thing - dancing my way through life! And so, with my very own Pink Tutu Fund, I take on street ballet performances wherever my feet may wander, dazzling everyone with my pirouettes! I’ve been everywhere from the sunny boulevards of Paris, to the cobbled streets of Rome. And I’ll tell you this, it’s such an honour to bring a little bit of joy, sparkle and wonder into the hearts of the world.

Every single time, people stop to watch. And, it always gets a few good smiles. This little act, this little touch of pink tutu magic, it really is so worthwhile! And while I'm there, I love soaking up the local leotard scene. What can I say? I'm a fashion fiend and I always love the challenge of creating unique leotard outfits! I recently picked up some stunning new tutus and leotards.

Let me tell you, I have found the most magnificent vintage shops in New York, and each and every one has brought me such joy. I found a a pink tutu with cascading ruffles that is so perfect. The most elegant combination of sparkle and tulle I’ve ever laid eyes on! Oh, I will have to create a new leotard fashion shoot for the website as soon as I get back to Derbyshire!

And no journey into Leotard History can be complete without acknowledging the incredible work of the professionals on the world’s grand stages. This month, my eyes were drawn to the breathtaking ‘Echoes of Time’ performance at the Royal Opera House in London. It brought together the beauty of classical ballet with modern storytelling, a fusion that was absolutely captivating. Each dancer seemed to possess their own inner world, their individual stories shining through their masterful moves!

From their elegant leaps to their captivating extensions, I was truly mesmerized. The costumes, especially the leotards! Gorgeous! They felt like a modern take on classic ballet – silky soft, shimmery and flowing.

But if you’re thinking of visiting a show yourself, let me offer this friendly bit of advice:

Don’t be afraid to embrace your own style! You know me, darling, I never shy away from bold colours, and I’d say, that’s exactly what you should do, embrace your unique personality! But most importantly, let the spirit of ballet dance through your veins and embrace the joy of moving, swirling and simply being present in your own dazzling way!
