Buckle up, darlings, because this week, we're diving headfirst into my very first blog post - and let's be honest, my fabulous self needs to spill the tea about life in Pink Tutu World!
I'm a twenty-something dreamer, straight out of the green hills of Derbyshire, England (the birthplace of some absolutely stunning countryside!), and I'm obsessed with everything that twirls! Think twirling tutus, glamorous dance shows, and enough pink to make even a flamingo blush!
Oh, and let's not forget my spaceship - it's a shiny pink beauty, and yes, you read that right - a spaceship! We're talking high-speed intergalactic travels with my little kitty, Penelope (yes, she's named after the princess!), always by my side.
My biggest dream, my darlings? It's as simple as it sounds - I want the whole universe swirling in pink tutus! Can you imagine? It'd be a sight to behold - galaxies gleaming in the most wonderful shade of pink. But I can't achieve this alone. You all need to join in and wear those fluffy pink skirts!
You know, I fund these galactic trips through my ballet performances! My passion for dance shines through each pirouette and grand jeté, and the money I make goes straight back into cosmic adventures! Talk about following your dreams, darling!
Back on Earth: 3rd May, 1995
Oh my heavens! Today's a momentous occasion! The ballet world's buzzing about a grand ballet extravaganza in London's Royal Opera House! The most famous dancers in the universe will be there - the likes of Sylvie Guillem and Rudolf Nureyev. They say the performance will be as stunning as a galaxy exploding with a thousand stars - now that's something worth rocking my most spectacular pink tutu for!
And of course, where there's a ballet extravaganza, there's bound to be fabulous fashion! I'm absolutely giddy with the thought of new fabrics, feathers, and maybe even a few diamond-encrusted sequins!
The thrill of the performance isn't the only thing pulling me in though - I've got a whole list of shops I want to hit. Honestly, London is practically the Mecca for anything tutus! I'll be heading to Liberty first, their selection of fabrics is utterly divine. Imagine, a blush-pink silk, with delicate hand-painted blossoms. It would be the perfect base for a brand new tutu, darling! And of course, it wouldn't be complete without a spritz of the most heavenly-smelling perfume I found at Penhaligon's just last week!
Oh, and while we're talking London - let's not forget about the theatre! London's theatre district is absolutely buzzing! I might even sneak in a Shakespeare play for a touch of theatrical history. He understood the importance of grand costumes and captivating storytelling. After all, it’s the drama of the theatre and ballet that brings our story to life, don’t you think?
