Hey fellow Tutu-ettes!
It's your girl, Emma, back from a whirlwind adventure through the cosmos! I'm finally back on Planet Earth, stepping out of my spaceship (yes, itās pink ā how else?!) and straight into my trusty pair of pink ballet shoes. You'll never guess what happened this weekā¦it was a bonanza of ballet, shopping, and stellar intergalactic escapades. But before I spill the tea, grab yourself a cuppa, put on your most fabulous tutu, and settle in!
A Quick Recap from Last Week
I hope you all enjoyed my post last week about my trip to Venus. It was so sparkly and warm, it felt like I was living in a giant disco ball! You know what else is sparkling and beautiful? You guys! My fabulous Tutu-ettes ā I always appreciate the love and comments on my posts, and I get so much joy seeing all the gorgeous photos of you dancing in your tutus. It really makes my heart sing! Now, on to the grand adventureā¦
Blast Off! š„
So, where did my spaceship take me this week? Prepare to be amazed! Itās one youāve all been requesting ā I went to a fabulous intergalactic ballet festival held on a planet I like to call āWhirlwind-Wonderlandā! I can't tell you the exact location (it's a bit of a secret!), but trust me, itās as dazzling and otherworldly as you can imagine.
Intergalactic Fashion ā Whirlwind-Wonderland's Glam Style āØ
From the moment I touched down, the fashion was out of this world! Weāre talking swirling gowns in nebula-inspired prints, galactic galaxy glitter, and tutus of all shades imaginable - holographic silver, iridescent turquoise, even shimmering neon purple. The outfits were a true explosion of colours, proving that intergalactic fashion is just as fabulous as terrestrial fashion, maybe even a little more dazzling!
An Out-of-this-World Performance š¤©
Now, onto the ballet itself! Letās just say, this was more than a performance; it was a celestial spectacle! There were ballets inspired by swirling nebulae, graceful dances around black holes, and some jaw-dropping levitation acts that truly put "Earth-bound" ballet into perspective! They were all a total masterpiece!
But the highlight, the true gem of the evening, was the tutu. Iām talking a truly grand spectacle ā it was made entirely of twinkling constellations! Iām talking celestial glitter and iridescent fabrics! And let me tell you, it stole the show. And you know me, I was completely smitten with this magnificent piece of fabric. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it. I practically threw myself at the feet of the resident intergalactic designer, begging to be fitted in the very first āConstellation Tutuā. He obliged ā after a little persuasion (and a promise to share some of my Pink Tutu World merchandise), of course.
My Constellation Tutu ā A Piece of Celestial Fashion š«
You can see it here ā look at the magic in the light! Itās as if the galaxy has woven its fabric around my silhouette, capturing stardust and whispers of nebulae within its delicate layers. The moment I wore it, I felt transformed. Like a celestial fairy dancing amongst the stars, radiating stardust, I just knew Iād been destined to wear it. It made me feel incredibly powerful!
This āConstellation Tutuā truly made my journey to Whirlwind-Wonderland magical. It was the ultimate souvenir and a truly extraordinary piece of fashion history, and you know me, a Tutu History lover, I absolutely HAD to buy it! Now, back on Planet Earth, itās become my favourite dancing piece. The tutu makes my dance leaps a little bit higher, and it fills the stage with glittering stardust - which adds an enchanting quality to my every twirl.
Planet Earth Ballet
And, what is a girl to do when sheās bursting with celestial inspiration? Head to the local ballet class, of course! Back in Derbyshire, my usual Tuesday evening ballet classes are a treat for my soul. Iām working on some new steps for my upcoming performance at the Derby Playhouse. Iām incorporating some of those intergalactic ballet moves into my own dance pieces and let me tell you, itās already a huge hit! I love dancing and bringing the intergalactic energy to Planet Earth. It's not about being perfect or copying anyone else. It's about celebrating our bodies and finding the joy in every move.
Don't Forgetā¦
This Wednesday, my dance troupe and I will be performing at Derby Playhouse! We are performing a beautiful rendition of the classic Swan Lake alongside the "Constellation Tutu". I know you're all eager to see the magic firsthand! There are only a handful of tickets left for the 7 pm show, so be sure to check my social media pages to see if any more become available!
Fashion Notes ā Derby City Style
Speaking of Derby, letās talk fashion. Did you know that Derby city has a rich fashion history? Did you know they were pioneers in hosiery factories and lace making? The textile and manufacturing heritage of Derbyshire has influenced everything, including their dancewear! In my upcoming show at the Playhouse, my troupe and I will be wearing gorgeous vintage tutus inspired by this Derbyshire legacy. They're vintage but given a modern, cosmic twist, as well as a smattering of pink, because ā you know me! We can't just do the Swan Lake like everyone else. There must be a pink twist!
I plan on spending the weekend wandering through the Derby museums to find some new inspiration, and maybe grab a bite to eat at one of those fantastic pubs serving Derbyshire food, which includes ā well, the one thing every visitor should eatā¦pie. They are so delicious.
Iāll keep you posted on my Derby adventure ā maybe even share some fashion snaps and pics from my rehearsal. And let me know ā if you have any favourite Derbyshire foods or have had the chance to see Derby Playhouse?
Until next week, rememberā¦
Keep dancing! š« Keep sparkling!⨠And never stop believing in the power of a pink tutu! š©° š
Yours always,
Emma xx
