Hello darlings!
It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another exciting instalment of Pink Tutu World, the intergalactic blog for all things ballet, fashion, and pink, of course!
As you know, I, Emma, your fabulous pink-tutu-clad blogger, am all about travelling the universe, spreading the love of ballet and, of course, inspiring everyone to embrace the pinkest tutu they can find. Today, I'm writing to you from good old Planet Earth, specifically my little corner of Derbyshire, England.
What a week it's been! From the sparkling streets of Paris to the bustling markets of New Delhi, my spaceship has been zipping about at light speed, and my trusty tutu has been getting more than a few envious glances. Honestly, travelling through space is so glamorous! It's the perfect opportunity to whip out my newest tulle creations - you should see my collection! But don't think my life is all glamour and sparkles - it takes hard work to fund all this interstellar travel.
This week, I've been perfecting my performance schedule, performing graceful pirouettes and dazzling arabesques on stage. I managed to squeeze in a few shows in some beautiful Parisian theatres โ their decor is divine, utterly swoon-worthy! And then it was back to Earth to try out my latest choreography โ Pink Tutus on Mars. It's about a group of alien ballerinas trying to break free from their strict galactic ballet academy and become "pink tutu" superstars! (You can get the soundtrack on my website, by the way - it's called "Galaxy Glow", perfect for intergalactic space walks).
Speaking of music, I simply adore finding those little gems of history at the ballet venues I visit. Did you know the first recorded ballet performance on Earth was back in 1581? Talk about groundbreaking! But really, isn't that so fantastic? It's as though people just naturally crave beauty and movement. That's what's so brilliant about ballet - it crosses languages, it transcends cultures, it's just plain captivating!
Anyway, before I get carried away, I must tell you what I'm wearing. As usual, my look today is all about pink โ but today Iโm giving a nod to my roots. My chosen tutu is a beautiful vintage piece from a shop I adore in Derby - Tutus & Tales. They have an amazing selection of tutus from different eras, perfect for any occasion, from a graceful rehearsal to a glamorous galactic trip! Itโs a dusty rose with pale pink ribbon detail, absolutely heavenly and perfectly paired with a shimmering pink sequin top I snagged on a recent trip to Paris. (Seriously, you have to visit - the fashion there is out of this world!) My pink ballet shoes are worn just enough to feel like a part of my being, a reflection of the passion I have for this wonderful dance. Itโs the whole Pink Tutu World feeling, and it's truly magic, isn't it?
What about you, my darlings? Have you discovered your love for ballet yet? Maybe it's through a stunning performance, perhaps it's in a dusty, old ballet book, or maybe youโve felt the thrill of the stage and heard the magic of the music? Tell me all about it! Share your stories in the comments below!
Now, I'd better jet off to catch my spaceship to my next interstellar destination โ the legendary Dance Galaxy of Orion, a real highlight of my dance career, and not to be missed by any serious ballerina!
Until next week, remember: keep those tutus pink, spread the love of ballet, and may your galaxy sparkle!
*Lots of love, *
Emma

PS My favorite fashion designer at the moment? You've probably heard of him - Cosmic Couture's collection of space-age dresses are the epitome of futuristic glam. I simply adore them! But enough about clothes, let's talk ballet! Have any of you seen Giselle? Itโs a classic for a reason. I caught a performance on 2000-10-18 (can you believe I was actually on Planet Earth that day, performing in my very first tutu?) and I've been a complete devotee ever since. If you get the chance, do see it, you'll fall in love! The story is so heartbreaking and romantic - with breathtaking dances that tell a story you can't help but connect with!
