Today's entry is all about adventures in earthbound ballet because, darling, even this extra galactic girl needs a good old-fashioned tutu twirl on planet Earth sometimes!
First of all, I need to give a shout out to all of you fabulous space creatures out there who've been sending me such amazing space-mail about my latest collection! My Pink Galaxy Galaxy line, featuring the Stardust Sash Tutu and the Interstellar Sparkle Bodysuit - to die for! The responses have been phenomenal, especially those little love notes about the Tutu-tastic Triple-Glitter Effect on the Sash Tutu. Honestly, my darlings, the compliments have me soaring like a featherlight space shuttle!
This week, as a special treat, I'm actually taking a break from interstellar adventures and I'm doing what I do best ā twirling it out right here on planet Earth! This week, I'm on home soil ā good olā Derbyshire, England, a place I truly love. The air here is so fresh, and it reminds me of home and reminds me of how much I truly love all of my planet earth family. I've had the pleasure of working on my new routine "Celestial Waltz." The theme, as you can imagine, is intergalactic. It's quite literally me channeling the power of a cosmic dance routine with my sparkly pink tutu flowing like the milky way itself! Did I just say that?! But seriously, folks, this new routine has me bursting with excitement! It's my own little tribute to the beauty of the cosmos and of course... all things pink, glamorous and tutu-ific!
Itās a little bit of magic in an utterly wonderful, twirl-worthy world!
This Saturday night, youāre all invited! Thatās right, my gorgeous space-gal-pals! This Saturday I'm hosting a gala for my new ballet and everyone is welcome! Come down to the "Stars of the Night" in Derbyshire, England, for the best planet earth ballet of the week. This Saturday, youāll see the premiere of my completely original, out-of-this-world ballet performance! (I might even try a pirouette or two with some space cadets! - thatās if they can keep up!)
This eventās definitely a must-attend if you are at all into space fashion or, even more importantly, you like pink and glitter! As the ultimate galaxy-girl, I donāt ever hold back on my sparkle!
I'm actually really excited about getting all of my lovely earthbound followers more involved in my space adventures too. The first of many amazing things I have in the works to achieve this aim is a āMeet the Astronautsā session - which I'm hosting at this yearās āCosmic Ballet Fest.ā There will be astronauts (both actual ones and some space dancers in my crew) sharing their stories with us at a cocktail event and dinner dance - all at "The Celestial Moonwalk Ballroomā which will be hosting a special one night-only pink, space-themed gala. We'll have some seriously galactic drinks flowing, music you could dance your twinkle toes off to - and of courseā¦ glitter! This, of course will also be documented on this Pink Tutu World blog for all of you to enjoy ā and I canāt wait to capture it! Cosmic Ballet Fest, oh here I comeā¦!!
So, fashionista-space-bunnies, what else is going on on Planet Earth this week?!
Well, on Planet Earth weāre talking fashion ā as ever ā all the new season, hot new outfits for our earthbound adventures ā with a few subtle space-galactic twirls. Because we donāt want to look too out-of-place in this beautiful corner of the galaxyā¦ Right, girls? Right?
It feels like the perfect moment to indulge in some of that extra extravagance we all crave, but sometimes can be scarily extra, so instead, why donāt we look for some gorgeous pink accents to enhance the wardrobes weāve been dreaming upā¦ And who needs a new dress anyway, right? The gorgeous dress you already have can be transformed by simply adding a pink sash, or a gorgeous sparkly headband, some glittery boots ā or even a tutuā¦ Well, it does speak to my soulā¦
Because darlingā¦ a new pink tutu always gives us all that extra-special spark. If it is the perfect piece to enhance an outfit and complete a look ā it's completely justifiable. (And it will go anywhere from a space trip to just a walk in the park!).
As for shoppingā¦ Well, you guys know I love the ultimate shopping experienceā¦ which in this caseā¦ could be The International Fashion Extravaganza. Taking place this weekendā¦ in the capital! Itās the perfect place for finding your own style of fashion for your galaxy, with amazing shops all grouped in the city center. Perfect for all-day window shopping! So grab your girls (and perhaps a glass of pink champagne!) and indulge! You deserve a day out ā we all do!. Thereās gorgeous shopping, and you could just about walk around for hours, discovering new shops and stalls. Who doesn't like a good fashion discovery?! A new dress for every occasion ā from the intergalactic red carpet, to that super special day-trip with your space friends.
But that's not all! You cannot mention shopping and not mention fashion history, can you? *This year, there's a great exhibition running at the National Fashion Museum of āThe Worldās Fashion Evolution - Over 2,000 Years of Styleā. Absolutely fascinating - a truly remarkable visual journey of the art of dress! *
And to be frankā¦ who doesnāt love a look back at some gorgeous dresses, and the styles, colors, trends and fads of the past? It really makes you realize the history of fashion - from ancient Egyptians to the world of space travel. And the best thing about fashion isā¦ it is forever evolving. It mirrors what is going on in the world, from our day-to-day to the most significant life-changing events - so many important changes are often represented through fashion!
After that, it's only a short hop to a fashion focus on ballet and the world of tutu. If we're talking about fashion ā you have to include the most amazing outfit of all timeā¦
I meanā¦ there is no comparison! Let's face itā¦ I know itās true, all you fabulous dance fans... You canāt be talking about clothes *without talking about tutu history!
In all honestyā¦ you canāt possibly argue with that. It's just a factā¦ Youāre completely right to say a tutu is one of the most magnificent things ever invented ā that goes for the whole of Earth and, of course, the whole universe!.**
In this spiritā¦ I can't not mention that, as you are well aware - it's ballet week on Earth!! A brilliant celebration of everything twirly, bouncy and seriously beautiful about ballet! And what better place to celebrate than with a night of amazing ballets - all for a cause! I always try and help out by attending and offering a little ballet-tastic encouragement wherever I can ā just to show that *our world can be just as special as a tutu - magical, whimsical and downright sparkly!
Itās truly amazing! This week ā there are loads of free performances ā just jump online to find what's near you! And what's better ā the performances all benefit charity ā so youāre basically getting a free ticket and helping out good causes in the process! That is an absolute win-win, in my eyes.
As I've been spending this last week enjoying these earthbound delights, it got me thinking ā how can we combine the two ā planet Earth's fascination with ballet, with space adventures? Well, here at Pink Tutu World, I've been brainstorming! The world's first-ever Interstellar Tutu Collection will debut on our very own Cosmic Ballet Fest this month ā with all the glamour and all the fun we love ā but this time with a whole new universe to inspire us!
Now, how will this cosmic fusion look? Iām planning on showing a whole range of sparkly space looks! From āNebula Nightsā tutu for your glamorous galas to the space-ready *āOrion Outerspace tutu for those daring galactic adventures - so the possibilities are truly endless. (And letās be honest, darling ā when it comes to pink and sparkly space tutus, *weāre only just scratching the surface!
