Darling readers! How are you all? As I'm writing this, the first whiff of spring is in the air. Yes, I know, it’s January. But trust me, even in these colder months, there's a subtle hint of spring. And speaking of spring, can we just say how utterly chic are these ballet pink blossom trees? Absolutely heavenly!
This week, I'm taking you right back to Planet Earth! As a girly-girl extraordinaire who lives for adventure, the last few weeks have been full of the most exhilarating interstellar travels. But darling, you simply can't leave Planet Earth without a little bit of... ballet!
Yes, my dearest Pink Tutu friends, this week is all about Earthly ballet! You know, that timeless, graceful dance form that has captivated hearts for centuries. And honestly, it’s impossible to have a trip to Planet Earth without attending a show, right? Right!
This week, my diary's overflowing with ballerina dreams: performances, class, and even a sneaky trip to the costume shop for a brand-new, sparkly tutu. So grab your tea, biscuits, and most exquisite pink tulle and let’s waltz through a truly unforgettable ballet journey.
14th January: Ballet History & the London ColiseumRemember back in 1914 when the famous ballet 'The Rite of Spring' premiered in Paris? I've always been fascinated by how this controversial and ground-breaking dance stunned the world. It changed ballet and challenged traditional performance styles. The music! The costumes! The dancers' revolutionary movements!
And guess what, darling readers? I’m heading to London today! It's time to dive into a little piece of London ballet history, as I'm seeing a production at the London Coliseum. It's not the Royal Opera House, of course, but it still offers an exquisite cultural experience. As a fellow ballerina, it makes me incredibly proud to see all the historical ballets on show! It really makes you appreciate the journey of dance.
After the show, there’s only one thing left to do – indulge in a luxurious ballet-themed afternoon tea, naturally! Because who could resist some perfectly dainty finger sandwiches, scones, and delectable cakes? I shall wear a pink tea dress with a matching little fascinator, because, well, the colour pink was made for tea and for life, darling!
I know you're all itching to hear more about my adventures in Earthly ballet! I have so much to share!
Stay tuned, because next week, my darling Pink Tutu Worlders, I’m going to explore a hidden ballet world! I'll take you backstage, darling! Can you believe it? You’ll get to see the amazing tutu shop! Can you imagine how delightful it will be! I know I’m just as excited as you are.
For now, let me leave you with my advice. Life’s a bit like ballet, isn't it? It's about grace, strength, and a touch of magic. You can be as elegant as a swan or as fierce as a warrior in the perfect tutu! I am eternally a champion for ballet. I urge you, readers, find your passion and dance with the heart of a ballerina. Because in a world full of grey, it’s time to add a splash of vibrant pink to make our lives glitter!
Love and tutus, Emma
