Darling darlings! How absolutely delightful to be back in Planet Earth for another week! This time, I'm absolutely bubbling with excitement, as you know June is my absolute favourite month.
Yes, you guessed it - it's Pride Month! 💖✨
Now, I know we've all been there – feeling like you just have to express your truest self to the universe. For me, that means twirling, leaping and absolutely shimmering in a beautiful pink tutu!
I absolutely believe that expressing yourself through dance is the ultimate way to feel like your true, magical self. 🌈🩰 I believe the same is true for being proud of your sexuality and sharing that with the world.
I must admit, I do love all of the colourfully creative, sparkly fabulous events going on around the globe during Pride Month, especially the parades with their massive floats and bright colours. But today, darling, I want to chat about something else, because... I’ve got to show you this gorgeous dress I found! It’s just… perfect for Pride, for dancing, and for being fabulously me.
Let me just show you, it’s practically an abstract ballet performance just on its own. This dress, my darlings, is just everything. And, oh, do I have something exciting to tell you, you're going to want to stay on the edge of your seat...
An Explosive Tutu Surprise!
This past week was, honestly, absolutely out of this world! Imagine my joy – the ballet competition in Sirius, my darling readers, that I told you about? Well, guess what, I WON! 🎉🍾🏆 I am SO thrilled to have brought home the Cosmic Ballet Champion Trophy! Now, darling, you know what that means...
...A trip to Earth, and yes, an absolutely fabulously pink shopping spree, and I am going to take it straight back to my gorgeous apartment for a luxurious bath in the most magnificent bubbles and relax until tomorrow morning.
Speaking of Pride, my latest favourite thing about Pride Month? I have a very important announcement, but first, can we talk about this week's beautiful performance I saw? It was an incredible piece called "The Ballet of Stars" performed by the Lunar Moonstone Dance Company. It truly felt like they were spinning through the galaxy. I nearly cried during the final movement; it was so utterly beautiful!
I know, it sounds cliche, but it just proves once again - how a truly amazing, creative dance show can just blow your mind. And that, my dearest, is one of the main reasons I’m writing this blog and heading all around the galaxy - because everyone needs a dose of magic and inspiration. 💖 ✨
But now for my exciting announcement! 📢
Drumroll, darling, drumroll... 🥁
It’s official: I’ve been invited to perform in the most epic Pride event on Planet Earth - a special, sparkly, beautiful performance at the end of June. My darlings, it's absolutely magical – all in celebration of Pride, diversity and the love of ballet, of course. You are definitely not going to want to miss this! ✨ I'm sure I will be posting some of the costumes on social media before the show! I know you're dying to see them. 😉
I'll have a full post on my performance next week, but now, back to Planet Earth and what's been going on in my little corner of this glorious little rock…
My London Adventure!
After all that space-age ballet action, it felt incredible to arrive back home and put my feet back down on good ol’ planet Earth. It's amazing how the atmosphere smells after all those space journeys. This time, I was so happy to land in London, especially as this date falls into one of my most cherished times on the Earth calendar: The London Fashion Week! 👠✨ It’s like I’m practically swimming in beautiful clothes and colours and my absolute fave: fabulous shoes! 👠👢
You know how I’m a real ballerina at heart? This means I LOVE, absolutely love the whole thing about clothes, the styling, and everything else that makes a true, fabulous statement in the fashion world. The beauty and detail, everything, especially the stunning and beautifully unique creations on the catwalks - just mesmerizes me, especially during Fashion Week. I am sure you are with me, darlings, as I soak up the entire artistic expression that London throws out there for everyone to see, enjoy, and marvel at.
The whole atmosphere here in London during fashion week is really electrifying. Every single corner of the city seems to be filled with an inspiring energy - even in a quaint, little café at 4pm.
As you already know, my dear darlings, I am completely smitten with anything pink, and you can just imagine my delight as I was browsing the designer collections in a little boutique in Covent Garden, when… I spotted a magnificent pink tutu skirt, it had such an ethereal lightness to it, my dear darlings! I had to have it! You know how it is - if you're going to take on a new challenge and, my darling darlings, this new challenge is, believe it or not, to find more amazing pink tutus for every pink tutu enthusiast in the universe. How could I not?
This was more than just a tutu skirt, it felt as if a pink-tutu-wearing goddess from a bygone era had whispered the secret of the perfect, twirly ballet tutu to these fabric weavers in a bygone time. I just HAD to get it!
That night, you'll never guess - after the London Fashion Week's cocktail party, where, I am absolutely delighted to tell you, I had an exciting chat with a big-time shoe designer - oh, how I would LOVE to have my own ballet shoe collection. Don’t tell my manager. I may even write it into my wish list, darling, just in case he does stumble across my blog. You never know - we could end up having a little, private chat about a new range of Emma's Intergalactic Ballerinas. I would absolutely LOVE to bring a little touch of pink and magic to the world of ballet footwear, wouldn’t you darlings? 💖
Oh, and a big, very juicy piece of news from this party: one of the models was absolutely glowing! As I asked what the secret was to her dazzling, gorgeous smile - “My dear,“ she said with the sweetest smile you ever saw - “it’s my love for pink, my favourite tutus and being a member of a dance group back in New York!” And, just like that, she completely won me over! And now I am excited for our performance together. Don’t you think so, darling? 💖
Back on the Space Rocket…
You know me - always moving, always traveling. And, yes, I just packed a whole suitcase with pink tulle. It felt right. My darlings, it was just divine! A gorgeous, dreamy combination of tulle, glitter, and of course, all those absolutely darling pink and pink accessories – absolutely irresistible!
So, after a quick visit with my mama back in Derby, you know the little town I grew up in on the outskirts of the city – well, after I surprised her with her favorite hot chocolate, it was back to the space rocket. But wait for it… the most spectacular surprise! My dear darlings, as I was heading back up into orbit - oh my darling - a massive pink tutu hanging from the tail end of the rocket! You just know how this happens, my darling darlings… the cosmos has decided to make the entire space travel just absolutely glorious and I knew my spaceship journey was going to be an absolutely fantastic, glamorous and pink, sparkly ride all the way to Andromeda! 💫🚀
I love the feeling of being completely weightless in my space tutu. It feels like I’m dancing with the stars themselves. That is what I truly love about travelling the universe - everything sparkles, even if we’re travelling to meet a few alien ballerinas at the Andromeda Ballet Academy in the nebula - it’s always an adventure in sparkle and pink tutus and you know I simply wouldn’t have it any other way!
Now, my darling darlings, time to say farewell again for now. But please, keep those twirling memories and pink tutu dreams alive and join me next Wednesday - we are going to take on a big fashion show together… maybe in Paris, darling - how do you feel about that? It could be exciting! 💖
Much love, Emma, Your Favourite Pink Tutu Princess
