Hello darlings! Welcome back to my little corner of the internet, where the tutus are always pink and the dreams are always big! Today, we're taking a trip back in time to a lovely visit to Planet Earth, all the way back in 2009! Fancy that, eh? Remember that year? We were all so busy worrying about that recession thing... Well, I was busy, as usual, twirling my way around the universe in my most fabulous pink tutus, spreading a bit of joy and glitter wherever I landed!
Speaking of tutus, my lovelies, this is actually the very date, 25th March, where my favourite fashion designer launched their sparkliest and most fabulous new collection - it featured a magnificent pink tulle masterpiece, perfect for a budding interstellar ballerina like myself! And you know I had to have it! 😉
Now, let's travel back to 2009, shall we? I remember being on Earth at this very moment, enjoying the glorious spring weather. Oh, I do love it when the little blue planet starts to blossom with pretty flowers - it's a lovely contrast to the monochrome spaceships we're usually whizzing about in!
This particular trip was fuelled by a wonderful ballet performance at the Royal Opera House in London, darlings! Such a fabulous treat! The dancers were incredible, the costumes were absolutely stunning, and the whole thing just transported me to another dimension... well, actually, maybe it was a dimension I'd just travelled from! I do love it when things get confusing and wonderful. ✨
After the performance, my good friend and I took a trip to a charming little vintage shop. It was crammed with amazing clothes and trinkets from a different era. You can never have too many outfits, especially when you travel through time! We uncovered a beautiful cream lace blouse - oh, so elegant! and a pair of antique ballet shoes! I can't wait to give them a good polish and get them twirling with my favourite tutus! I know you'll all agree - there's just nothing like the comfort and support of a really good pair of ballet shoes.
Of course, no trip to Planet Earth would be complete without a bit of sightseeing. I made a pilgrimage to Stratford-upon-Avon, darlings! I adore the history and the theatre. It's hard not to be swept up in the Shakespearean drama while wandering the streets and the beautiful Cotswolds. A good bit of theatrical history always puts me in a great mood!
We wandered through the quaint streets and stopped for a delicious afternoon tea at a little tea room with gorgeous floral china - perfect for a girly intergalactic ballerina. Of course, I had to pick up some lavender for the spaceship! Just think, it's not everyday you get to go from ballet performance in London to exploring the historical Shakespearean landscape. That's what I call a perfect weekend!
So, there you have it - another trip down memory lane with your favourite intergalactic ballerina! Oh, how time flies when you're busy dancing your way through the cosmos, right? Remember to spread the pink tutu love wherever you go, and always remember, life is too short for boring outfits.

PS I just remembered! It was actually a little shop in Bakewell in Derbyshire, that was the one where I got those fabulous vintage ballet shoes - I know, I was practically a child back then. I think I got them for just a fiver! 🤯 And they are so pretty! Anyway, if you want a fun girly day out on Planet Earth, pop down there for some delicious Bakewell tart - it's my favorite!
