Helloooo darlings! Itโs your girl, Emma, here, bringing you another dazzling dose of Pink Tutu World straight from Planet Earth!
This weekโs blog is bursting with exciting news! Get your feather boas ready, ladies, because this is a big one! Remember how I've been telling you about my cosmic dance adventure across the universe? Well, you guessed it, this week has been an absolute whirlwind of tutus, travel and twirling!
I know, I know! I know you're dying to know where I went this time! Hold on tight, my dears, because it's epic. Drum roll, pleaseโฆ ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅโฆ I have been waltzing my way across the galaxy to none other than...Planet Earth!
Yep, you heard right. Your humble tutu-clad explorer returned to Earth this week! I know, I know, youโre thinking "But Emma, you live here!". Well, true - but thereโs no place like homeโฆ and this trip has really brought it all back into focus for me.
So, letโs take a little journey down memory lane, shall we? I landed back on dear old Planet Earth with a flurry of pink sparkles on Tuesday, and immediately knew where I needed to be. No, not Derbyshire (although a cheeky trip home is always in order!)...it was time to hit the glittering capital city: London!
London is the perfect place to recharge the Tutu World battery, my darlings. There's such a whimsical energy in the air there โ I love how everyone just seems to embrace the flamboyant and the fantastical. They definitely know how to have a good time. And whatโs more, I can finally catch up with all the fabulous ballet shows going on back home! You simply cannot beat a good ballet in the city, and there's always a whole plethora of performances happening! This week I saw the Royal Ballet in โGiselle" - what an absolutely incredible performance! So emotional, it had me welling up by the end, haha!
Speaking of London, I simply had to treat myself to a spot of retail therapy after my whirlwind trip. I canโt come back to Planet Earth without indulging in some delicious clothes shopping - I just can't resist! You know me - I adore exploring Londonโs fantastic shops. This time I found myself gravitating towards a fabulous little vintage boutique nestled away in a quaint side street of Notting Hill - the perfect place for picking up unique pieces, and let me tell you, I was absolutely spoilt for choice! You wonโt be surprised to hear I bagged a pair of the most gorgeous emerald green ballet shoes youโve ever seen, and a gorgeous powder-blue satin tutu which is just begging for a spin. I can already see it - it's going to be perfect for the next ballet recital!
Life Lessons from a Planet Earth Dancer
But more than the fashion and the fabulous shows, this trip has been all about revisiting my roots - the ballet roots that helped launch this whole cosmic dance adventure! I love exploring the incredible history of dance and ballet back here. This time, I stumbled upon a small museum nestled away in a cobblestone side street โ a treasure trove of vintage costumes, posters and all things ballet. It was like stepping back in time. They had the most incredible display of vintage tutus! My favorite was this exquisitely crafted, multi-layered tulle beauty in a glorious shade of blush pink with the most delicate feather embellishments! They told me it had been designed for the iconic dancer Anna Pavlova in the 1920s. Talk about history, my darlings! I spent hours there just gazing at all the magnificent costumes. Thereโs something so special about the connection you feel with the past, with all the history behind those amazing creations.
This little jaunt back to Earth has really brought it all back into perspective, darling. The things we sometimes take for granted are often the most beautiful things of all! You know what I mean?
You know how I absolutely love traveling the universe, getting to experience so many wonderful cultures and dazzling planets? And I love the idea of making the galaxy one big pink tutu club โ just imagine how joyous that would be!
But what really matters is the connection we build - the friendships we forge - whether you're from Planet Zorb or right here on Earth! Youโve heard me say it a thousand times: itโs about dancing together, sharing our stories, embracing the fun and reminding ourselves that laughter, friendship and joy really do shine brighter than a supernova!
You know Iโll never let the excitement of exploring the universe die, but let me tell you, after my trip back home I have to say... there's truly something magical about Planet Earth! We just need a little bit more sparkle, some twirling and maybeโฆ yes, Iโm going to say itโฆ a whole lot more pink tutus.
Iโm off to embrace a new adventure next week! Keep a close eye on www.pink-tutu.com on Wednesday for a brand new Pink Tutu World update. In the meantime, take good care, dance with your heart, and remember to keep it sparkling!
Your forever glamorous dance-loving gal,
Emma
