Hello my darling darlings! It’s your favourite pink-tutu-clad, cosmic ballerina, Emma, here, with another weekly dose of whimsical wanderings from the utterly fabulous Planet Earth! I'm so excited to be back with you all, sharing another adventure from my intergalactic travels! I'm already feeling so inspired - after all, what better place to draw inspiration from than this wonderfully eclectic, ever-evolving planet we call home? 💖
This week, my adventures have taken me right back to my roots - Derbyshire, England, that is! After all, every fabulous ballerina needs a bit of home-grown magic from time to time. My family still reside in my home village - it’s always a lovely little reminder of just how far I’ve come, with all my sparkly travelling, and my big, sparkly pink tutu dreams!
Back to the ballet - Oh, it's divine! 🩰
Before I embark on another dazzling galactic journey, I had to do something extra special. And what's more special than a spectacular ballet performance? My trip back to Derbyshire was fuelled by the most magical night out at The Derby Theatre. The Royal Ballet was performing ‘Giselle,’ and I couldn’t wait to be enveloped by that sheer storytelling brilliance.
And let me tell you, darling, it was breathtaking! The choreography, the costumes, the music, everything about the production was sublime. Seeing Giselle’s vulnerability, and then witnessing the fiery passion of the Wilis, brought me right back to my love of the stage. Honestly, nothing beats that exquisite blend of physical grace, powerful emotion, and artistic storytelling - that’s the real magic of ballet! ✨
Speaking of magic… I couldn’t resist slipping into the beautiful Royal Ballet Shop afterwards, where my eyes nearly popped out of my head with excitement! There was such a wealth of enchanting ballet books, accessories, and, of course, the most delectable pink tutus! 🥰 (How could I resist, darling? My love for pink is infinite!) I picked up some new tights for my own practice and some stylish pink hair ribbons (one simply never has too many hair accessories!), and, to my utter delight, a delightful little pink-tutu ballet doll for my collection! (Of course, you all know that I collect ballet dolls!) It was truly the perfect end to an already perfect night!
And speaking of pink, darling, there are just some things that simply must be shared! 💗
Have you ever found yourselves gazing up at a magnificent sunset, that moment where the sky turns a glorious pink, lavender and apricot? Or seen a flock of flamingos, their rosy feathers catching the light in an explosion of vibrant pink?
These things are truly magical, my darling darlings! There's just something utterly beautiful about pink, and I just know you feel the same way! And for me, well, pink is more than just a colour, it’s a way of life. It’s about feeling vibrant, beautiful, strong, and powerful. And it’s something I want to share with the whole universe! 😉
Ballet and fashion go hand in hand 💃
You all know I adore the dance world. Every graceful pirouette, every graceful arabesque, it all comes down to style. It's more than just an artistic expression. Ballet's got everything a girl needs to feel utterly fab, darling - grace, strength, artistry, and all those perfectly pink tutu moments! 💗 It’s no wonder it continues to captivate the hearts and minds of so many people, and I just know it will continue to blossom into an even bigger world.
For those of you on Planet Earth who also share my love of fashion, I have to tell you, there's an exciting new shop called “La Petite Danseuse” just outside London that's a real must-see! It's bursting with ballet-themed fashion - think exquisite pointe shoes (with a touch of sparkle!), pretty pink ballet flats, and, of course, a vast selection of glorious, flowy tutus (even in my favourite shade of pink!) I had to pick up a few extra pairs of those stunning tulle tutus - a girl never has too many tutu choices! 😉 And what better way to support the artistry of dance than by looking fabulous, too! 🩰

My spaceship’s already charged and ready for my next interstellar journey. Next week, my travel schedule takes me to the enchanting planet of Andromeda, home to the famous Andromeda Ballet Academy, known for its spectacular underwater ballet shows and exquisite fishnet tutus! I’m going to try and pick up some of their special aqua pink net for my own design ideas! The creativity and talent there is out of this world.
