Pink Tutu World: Planet Earth - June 5th 2013 - Post Number 945!

Hello, darling darlings! It’s Wednesday, and that can only mean one thing: it’s time for my weekly Pink Tutu World blog post! Oh my goodness, how absolutely thrilling! I can’t believe another week has flown by – but then again, time always seems to whizz past when you’re having a right old time.

This week, I’ve been feeling very inspired. I think it might be all those fabulously fun adventures I’ve been having on Planet Earth! Honestly, the humans here are simply the best. So friendly, and they love a good giggle! I just know my mission to spread pink tutus across the entire universe is going to go down a treat with them.

Now, for those of you who haven’t been following along, let me tell you all about my amazing, tutu-tastic week on Planet Earth:

Intergalactic Travel - From Earth to Neptune (and Back!)

So, this week, I decided to hop on my trusty spaceship (which, of course, is the only way to get around these days – very modern, darling, very now!). Where did I travel to? Oh, just a hop, skip, and a jump over to Neptune – no biggie!

You might think Neptune is a bit cold, a bit blue, not terribly tutu-friendly, but I discovered some truly delightful shops there with absolutely divine garments in every colour imaginable! (Naturally, the pink ones were the most appealing. Let’s face it, there’s simply nothing that a spot of pink can’t make brighter and more wonderful).

I also enjoyed learning about Neptune’s fascinating ballet history. Did you know the Neptuneans had their own, unique form of dance – quite captivating, but a little less ā€œgraceful pirouetteā€ and a bit more ā€œwrithing octopusā€ than I’m used to. Not quite my cup of tea, but certainly an intriguing sight!

A Fashionista’s Paradise - Shopping in Sheffield

After Neptune, it was time for a little Earthly retail therapy in the fabulously cosmopolitan city of Sheffield, right here in Derbyshire, where I grew up. There, I snagged myself a stunning new pair of tutu-perfect, hot-pink shoes – you know the type, absolutely darling, high heels with sparkly diamante detailing. Perfect for any elegant occasion (even if the occasion is just waltzing through a supermarket)! I was absolutely over the moon.

I simply adore a good bit of shopping – and what better excuse than finding a perfect pink ensemble to match my newly acquired spaceship-travelling pink tutu! (I can't resist adding a little more colour to every travel experience!). I’ll tell you all about it in my next post – but let me give you a sneak peek: think ruffles, think ribbons, think pink polka dots! Just picture it - the colour combination is simply divine.

Dancing to Delight – Ballet on the London Stage

Oh, and speaking of ā€œDivineā€, have you ever been to the Royal Opera House in London, darling? If not, you're missing out. I know! I know! The theatre experience - heaven on Earth. But, even I must admit, my visit last week felt absolutely out of this world.

I saw ā€œGiselleā€ - the performance, the set, the costumes… utterly mesmerizing. It brought back so many memories of my first ballet classes in Derbyshire, those precious moments, every single twirl, every delicate step, I remembered them all, it was just a glorious journey down memory lane! The humans, ever so polite as always, gave me a big standing ovation. Honestly, I can’t tell you how good that made me feel. I love knowing that I bring joy to all who experience my shows!

The Latest Tutu Trend on Planet Earth

I always make it my mission to stay up-to-date on all the latest fashion trends across the universe, especially on Planet Earth, where the humans are constantly coming up with new and inventive ways to express themselves through fashion. (Of course, I always suggest they make sure their tutu is pink, because let’s face it, a little bit of pink really elevates any look).

This week I discovered a really charming new trend in Earthling fashion - ā€œBallet Streetā€. It's so creative, so quirky! Basically, it's all about adding a bit of tutu magic to your everyday outfits.

Imagine – a denim jacket paired with a swirling pink tulle skirt! Honestly, you've got to see it to believe it – so fabulous, so elegant!

This makes me want to wear pink tutus in more settings – why limit yourself, darling? Why not bring that splash of joy to every aspect of your life?! It’s what I try to do every day – so embrace your inner tutu-wearer! Let it shine through!

What's Happening on June 5th on Planet Earth?

Today on Planet Earth, things are buzzing with activity! I discovered this fabulously eclectic farmers' market happening in a little village near Derbyshire, called Bakewell, and guess what? It has an amazing Tutu Tuesday event! Honestly, what could be more delightful! Can you imagine a whole village devoted to tutus? I just adore it – the creativity here on Earth, so innovative, so colourful! Oh, and of course, I couldn't miss the delicious homemade fudge available at Bakewell - simply heavenly. It's like a little slice of pink-hued heaven, literally.

You’ve probably gathered from this week’s post, my dears, that Earth is a truly amazing place. Not only do the humans there wear absolutely wonderful clothes – including, of course, my all-time favourite pink tutus – but they also enjoy the finest delicacies! Honestly, from my time travelling throughout the cosmos, I’ve learnt one thing, it’s all about enjoying life. A life of delicious meals, a life of delightful dances, and a life where you’re absolutely unafraid to wear your heart, or in my case, a beautiful pink tutu, on your sleeve!

Remember darlings, life’s a beautiful dance, so twirl with confidence, let your heart soar, and remember: wear pink tutus, wear them loud, wear them proud!

Until next week, darling darlings,

Hugs and Twirls, Emma
