It's Wednesday again, which means it's time for another delightful dose of Pink Tutu World right here on www.pink-tutu.com! This week's tale takes us to Planet Zorg, a little slice of intergalactic heaven (in my humble opinion) where the colour pink reigns supreme and tutus are considered the most elegant attire for all occasions!
A Starry Sojourn
So, you know how I always say that there's nothing more fabulous than getting dressed up in my pinkest tutu and gliding across a stage under the dazzling spotlights? Well, this week, the spotlights weren't just on me, but on the entire starry sky itself! Oh yes, my dears, this week's adventure involved a splendid journey through the vastness of space, aboard my very own spaceship (let's call her "Twinkle Toes", shall we?) and an arrival on the wonderful planet Zorg.
Remember how I told you I fund these fabulous adventures with my ballet performances? Well, my latest show back on Planet Earth in Nottingham was a smashing success! The audience oohed and aahed at my pirouettes, they cheered when I performed my en pointe leaps, and, most importantly, they bought all my tutu-tastic merchandise afterwards!
That beautiful batch of pink tutus, sequins, and adorable ballet slippers I brought home allowed me to upgrade my spaceship, and after some careful planning and a quick dash to the space station for fuel, I was ready for another big space adventure!
Landing on Zorg
Oh my, the journey to Planet Zorg was pure magic! There were nebulae, my dears, absolutely dazzling! And you know how I love my sequins and sparkles? Well, the universe went all out with those! I simply had to snap a couple of photos to share with you. And you know what else was amazing? There were planets so beautiful and colours I've never seen before, and I had to stop the spaceship just so I could sit on the edge of the window and stare in wonder. Just like how we watch the stars from back home, it felt like I was in a magical fairytale.
I finally reached Planet Zorg on 19th June. (Mark this day in your diaries, darlings! This is when your little pink tutu-loving space traveller first landed on a different planet!) And guess what, my dear readers? It was a Tuesday! On Zorg, everything's reversed! They celebrate Wednesday on Tuesdays and Friday on Thursdays!
But enough of my stargazing – the real magic happened upon arrival. Planet Zorg itself is an absolute spectacle! Imagine a rainbow of pink shades everywhere you look. From the softest rose pink of the sunsets to the bold fuchsia of the giant flowers that sway in the gentle breeze, everything about this planet exudes a whimsical femininity that would make your hearts flutter with delight! It’s like a giant candy land filled with the sweetest delights, with the kindest and most welcoming Zorgians, who all adore tutus and pink, just like me!
I felt so right, being in a place that was all about colour, all about elegance and beauty, and, yes, all about the tutu!
The Zorgian Ballerina Ballet
What's the most delightful thing about Planet Zorg? You guessed it: The Zorgian Ballerina Ballet! Imagine my excitement when I learned they have their own form of ballet on this lovely planet! You've heard of traditional ballet and contemporary ballet, right? But get ready to twirl because this is Zorgo-ballet, a ballet unique to Planet Zorg.
Now, just because it's not what we know on Planet Earth doesn't mean it's not captivating! Their ballet performances were simply divine, with moves that felt both familiar and utterly alien!
You know how ballet shoes are traditionally made with leather? Well, on Zorg, they wear something much more ethereal! Imagine sparkly silver slippers with delicate feather trims! The colours they used in the costumes and their choreography made my heart sing, my darlings!
But you know what, I wasn't just watching - I had the amazing honour of joining the Zorgian ballerinas for their Wednesday ballet class! I'd love to share some pictures, but unfortunately, it was so chaotic (and fun) that I forgot to take any. The good news, I’m coming back again soon to experience all the fun, and, you’re with me, so I’ll definitely share plenty of photos. But let me tell you, the class was full of twirling, hopping, skipping, and joyful en pointe leaps, all against the breathtaking backdrop of their stunning pink-hued landscape. I could barely believe the energy I felt while being surrounded by their infectious laughter, their gentle nature, and the sheer joy they showed. And they loved me back, all thanks to my pink tutu, of course! It's always great when your passion for pink can transcend planetary boundaries!
A Zorgo-Tutu Extravaganza!
Of course, being in the pinkest planet in the galaxy had to lead to an incredible shopping spree, darling! Just imagine it – a sprawling, gigantic store filled with nothing but pink tutus and sparkly clothes! There were the softest pastel pink tutus, the brightest shocking pinks, and every shade imaginable. Every type of tutu imaginable – with sequins, without sequins, layered with frills, and even the most elegant simple styles. They have shops called “The Pink Boutique” and “Pink and Proper”, it's just heavenly! I, of course, could not leave without stocking up on a couple of dozen Zorgo-tutues – the perfect additions to my already enormous collection back on Earth. The way I see it, they just had to come back home with me to inspire some Zorgo-ballet performances on Earth!
Now you may be wondering, darling, about this whole “Zorgo-ballet” idea? Well, you might say it’s a new vision for Pink Tutu World. I envision it as the newest trend for all the dancers, ballet fans, and fabulous ladies all around the globe. This is the beginning of my latest ambition – spreading the love of pink, of the tutu, and Zorgo-ballet to our own planet!
Farewell, Planet Zorg
And that, my dear readers, brings me to the end of this week's tale! Planet Zorg was pure magic. And it gave me another vision to share. And this is where you come in, darling. Let's show Planet Zorg how much we appreciate their warm welcome. Let's help all those dance students, dance schools, and all those who love dance in Derbyshire to share the Zorgo-ballet magic with all our friends and families! It would be fantastic for all my Derbyshire readers to have Zorgo-ballet lessons and for Derbyshire to have the first Zorgo-ballet shows on Planet Earth! I can almost see those feather-trimmed slippers and imagine the most fabulous choreography already! I promise to work with you all to create a little bit of Zorg magic right here on Earth, my lovelies!

What to Do On Planet Earth Today, 19th June 2013
Here's a fun list for your day:
- Embrace your inner dancer! Find a dance class or studio and have a try. Maybe try a Zorgo-ballet class.
- Tutu time! Check out your local ballet shops or costume hire stores and find that perfect tutu. You can always just start by putting on your most beautiful pink dress. Or even your pajamas and wear them like a ballerina.
- Go pink! Pink everything – pink lipstick, pink accessories, a pink t-shirt! Pink nail polish! Pink dress, or wear something pink and something white. It’s your choice.
- Plan a visit to your local ballet theatre! Search for all the ballet shows and check them out on your computer. Then add your favorite one to your diary for a little treat for yourself or the entire family.
- Get inspired by ballet history. Visit a ballet museum online or check out the internet for some lovely videos from the world of ballet. Or listen to your favorite ballet music!
- Get your shop on! If you’re anything like me, you’ll enjoy finding a Pink Boutique to fulfill all your pink-tastic desires. I recommend a fun dress to feel like you're in a fairytale. A big, full skirt will feel so magical to move around in. Imagine you're a ballerina, twirling around, and enjoy the joy!
