Hello my gorgeous darlings,
It's Wednesday, and you know what that means! Another fab Pink Tutu World post, this time from Planet Earth, because this little ballerina's back home for a spell! You know me, I can't stay away from the glitter and the fabulousness of Earth for too long, and trust me, you just can't beat the excitement of seeing the latest designs in tutus here.
Now, where were we? Oh yes, last week's galactic adventures were pretty exciting, wasn't it? Flying through space, trying on cosmic tutu designs that twirled and shimmered with stardust... it was all so fabulous! But there's no place like home, even for a little space explorer like me, so here I am, back in my favourite tutu and ready for some Earthly ballet fun.
Speaking of Earth, 12th February, that's today's date, is such a great day to be on this glorious planet. Did you know it's "World Tutu Day?" Yup, you heard right! Celebrated globally, this is a special day for all tutu enthusiasts. If you haven't caught a ballet show yet, I suggest you make haste to a theatre near you. There's nothing more divine than seeing the delicate twirls, the graceful movements, and the pure beauty of ballet under a stunning chandelier. And don't forget, the grand finale of a performance, with the applause cascading down like a glorious waterfall? Just a chef's kiss of perfection!
Speaking of "grand finales" did you know that in the realm of tutu history, the tutu has actually undergone quite a transformation? Imagine! From the dramatic bustle and panniers of the late 1800s to the flowing, romantic tutus that swirled with graceful charm. Even the colours evolved, with pinks and pastels becoming a mainstay in the 20th Century. The evolution is captivating!
This year, I've got a date to catch the Ballet Gala in the magnificent Albert Hall in London. There's an exquisite dance called "Pink Petals", a delicate and beautiful portrayal of a blossoming romance. And guess what? It involves tutus... of course it does! The designs are just fabulous! I can't wait to see what the choreographers and designers have dreamed up. My heart beats a little faster every time I picture the graceful swirls of light, airy fabric as the ballerinas glide across the stage.
Speaking of designers, Earth's got a wide range of fantastic tutu creators! My trip wouldn't be complete without visiting my favourite boutiques! Imagine yourself: stepping into a luxurious boutique filled with an enchanting selection of tutus! The colours! Oh, the glorious, beautiful colours! I can practically smell the delicate scent of satin, and feel the texture of tulle flowing across my fingertips as I pick through my choices.
To fund these thrilling escapades, it's time to bust out the moves! I'm having a fundraising ballet performance at a delightful little theater here in Derbyshire, a tiny village that bursts with character. They call it "The Butterfly Ballet," and I am absolutely bursting with excitement to share this magical story of transformation and beauty through the language of ballet.
If you find yourself in Derbyshire, you can find me gracefully twirling my way through "The Butterfly Ballet," in a breathtaking pink and gold tutu (I can't tell you what designer yet. You have to come see for yourselves!)
For the Derbyshire show, I will also be incorporating my latest fashion creation. It is a pink tutu with little "Butterflies" scattered about the fabric, with my famous, delicate pearl buttons! I may not be a fashion designer per se, but with a twinkle of an eye, I think I've got quite the flair! You can see this "Pink Butterfly" tutu at my performance in Derbyshire, and for those who cannot join us in Derbyshire, I will be offering limited edition "Pink Butterfly" tutus on my "Pink Tutu" website - Pink-Tutu.com! Don't forget to check in with the site each Wednesday to see what delightful adventures I am embarking on. I post my "Planet Earth Blog" on Wednesday and, because of the popularity of these posts, I also upload a blog about my galactic "Pink Tutu" adventures, too. You can find those on Saturdays, too.
Until next week, keep on dancing my darling dears! And please do write back to "Pink Tutu World" to let me know all about your Pink Tutu Adventures. Do any of you celebrate World Tutu Day? Let's see those tutus. Send your photos of your amazing tutu outfits to "Pink-Tutu.com" or comment with photos on my blog posts! We can have a competition with amazing prizes like "Pink Butterfly" tutu fabric from "Pink Tutu World"! What do you think? Oh, you have to see how amazing this fabric is!
Always and forever yours in tutus and twirls, Emma.
