This week I've had the most incredible adventure - landing right here on Planet Earth! 🌍 You won't believe the wonders I've discovered! From ancient ruins that whisper of a glorious past to towering skyscrapers that scrape the clouds, Earth is a captivating world full of surprises. I'm currently tucked away in a quaint, charming corner of Derbyshire, England, soaking up the rolling hills and blooming gardens. It's so lovely to be surrounded by nature! 🌸
Ballet on Planet Earth
It wouldn’t be a Pink Tutu World adventure without some ballet, wouldn’t it? You know how much I adore a good ballet show, and Planet Earth did not disappoint! My latest adventure took me to a magical theatre in the bustling city of London. The air crackled with anticipation as the curtains rose, revealing a breathtaking stage design and a group of exquisitely talented dancers. It was an enchanting production of Giselle, a timeless classic that transported me to a realm of love, betrayal, and mystical beauty. ✨
I've even been having a go myself at ballet classes in the local town hall! There are so many talented ballet schools on Planet Earth! The atmosphere was simply divine! You could just feel the passion and grace emanating from the dancers. They move with such elegance and poise, their movements are truly mesmerising. It’s like a story unfolding in slow motion, with each movement a carefully crafted chapter. I can’t resist joining in every now and again! You know, spread a little tutu magic across the globe! 😉
I even had the most wonderful time at a ballet street performance in the park. They really bring the art form out to the people on this planet, and I'm definitely a fan! It was such a treat to watch these passionate artists sharing their love of ballet with everyone. The energy was vibrant and infectious, drawing in an audience of all ages. What better way to brighten up a sunny day? ☀️
Tutu Talk:
I had a real vintage find this week at a beautiful antique shop on Earth, you wouldn't believe this… it was a tutu! Just imagine - a vintage pink tutu - the perfect mix of old and new, a timeless piece of fashion that exudes femininity and charm! I’m already imagining pairing it with a statement top, my sparkly spaceship-inspired earrings, and a glamorous vintage handbag, of course! You know, mixing eras for a real one-of-a-kind look!
Fashion Finds:
The fashion on this planet is fabulous! I mean, there are so many stylish looks and trends to discover. Every corner I turn seems to present a new source of inspiration! My favourite spot was a charming vintage boutique nestled amongst cobbled streets. Inside, I discovered a treasure trove of stylish vintage items - from flowing bohemian dresses and statement jewelry to beautiful antique handbags. It’s hard not to buy a thing! Honestly, I felt like I stepped straight into a vintage fashion film, and I can’t wait to recreate some of these looks!
Oh! And I simply had to try out Planet Earth's version of "afternoon tea." I was quite taken aback when they brought me a tiered cake stand filled with finger sandwiches, pastries, and, of course, a selection of exquisite teas! I’ve never had such delicious pastries! What a wonderful way to indulge and unwind. It was simply heavenly!
Galactic Travel Diaries:
Travelling from planet to planet takes a bit of effort. Sometimes you’ll find me hopping onto my trusty spaceship - with all my fabulous clothes, a well-stocked supply of pink tutu accessories, and, of course, my sparkly pink travel kit. Other times, I just have to step aboard a planet's very own transportation system. Planet Earth, for example, has these interesting vehicles called trains and planes!

What else has happened this week?
Well, 16th April 2014 has been a full week in fashion. We've seen so many big names walking the catwalks and showing off their latest collections! It was definitely worth watching the Dior Couture Spring Summer 2014 Show. I love how they blended bold silhouettes and patterns, giving us an avant garde, elegant feel that’s totally inspired me. I have a vision in mind - imagine me waltzing across a lunar landscape, dressed in a space-inspired tutu, with bold splashes of colours on a sleek black ensemble! 🪐🖤
It’s so inspiring to see how other fashion designers use ballet and the dance form for their designs, too. The Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake ballet had me completely enthralled this week too! Imagine: ballet and couture coming together in a beautiful fusion, truly a sight to behold! 😍
That brings me to this week’s fashion focus: the pink tutu. And it isn’t just me that is wearing a tutu! There have been some great fashion finds with pink tutus, don’t you think? A ballet themed dance dress at the ‘Tutus and Tiaras’ party in NYC – absolutely delightful! – and even a wonderful vintage Pink tutu-themed party at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum!
