Pink Tutu World: Blog Post 991 - A Cosmic Ballet Extravaganza on Planet Earth!

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2014

Darling readers, it's your favourite tutu-clad adventurer back from another cosmic ballet odyssey! It's been a whirlwind week, filled with sparkling tutus, celestial performances, and oh-so-much shopping, all on this little ol' planet called Earth!

Let's get right down to the tutu-licious details! This week, I've been immersed in the ballet scene here on Planet Earth. There are so many wonderful ballet companies around the world, each with its own unique charm. In the heart of Derbyshire, England, I was thrilled to attend a delightful performance by the Derbyshire Dance Company. You know I have a thing for supporting local talents!

Their rendition of Swan Lake was absolutely mesmerising. The dancers were exquisite in their movements, graceful and powerful, like swans gliding on a moonlit lake. But it was the costumes that really stole my heart. Those tulle tutus, shimmering under the stage lights, were a sight to behold! And I won't even mention the beautiful pink ones. My love for pink knows no bounds, darlings!

Afterwards, I treated myself to a new tutu โ€“ a pale blush colour with intricate floral embroidery - because a girl can never have too many tutus, especially when on Earth.

While I was in the mood for shopping, I took a jaunt down London's Oxford Street, one of my favourite destinations on Earth for ballet-inspired attire. I swear, these earthly boutiques have a real flair for mixing vintage with contemporary. It's all about those beautiful silk shrugs, feather boas, and those little, sparkly heels! Absolutely divine, darlings!

But Earthly delights aren't just about tutus and ballet, you know. This week I was treated to a sumptuous English afternoon tea, with finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones and clotted cream (so much cream, it's positively indulgent!), and an assortment of dainty tea cakes. What's not to love?

Now, my friends, my love for tutus extends beyond ballet classes and performances. I have to share with you this extraordinary find - a "tutu bar" I stumbled upon. Yes, darling readers, a bar adorned with nothing but tutus, from the floor to the ceiling!

Imagine, sipping your cocktail under a canopy of tulle. There was even a pink velvet swing in the corner, where one could twirl oneself silly. It was the perfect blend of chic, whimsy, and a touch of theatrical magic.

I, of course, couldn't leave without purchasing a few of their limited-edition pink tutu-inspired accessories: a little tulle purse for holding my phone, a sparkling tutu pin to embellish my space-travel outfit, and a fabulous pink feather boa to wrap around my spaceship.

But alas, time is of the essence, darlings! I must bid you farewell. My cosmic spaceship awaits, and there's an intergalactic ballet competition coming up in Andromeda! Oh, how excited I am for another interplanetary journey, a new world of colours, and of course, more amazing tutus to inspire me!

Don't forget to join me on my journey to make every corner of the universe a haven for all things tutu, my friends! Remember, every day is a ballet performance, so step out with grace, style, and, of course, a pink tutu. See you all next week, darlings!

*Always, *
